When was your pickup? I was supposed to go last week but they called me to cancel because of some software update preventing them from issuing.

Called for pickup end of March. Picked up 3 weeks later.

They called from an unblocked Los Angeles 213 number.

I did. Highly recommend. Day 1 is zoom lecture by Steven Lieberman who is owner and lawyer. Day 2 is at their training facility for the first half of the day and second half is at the range to shoot your qualifier.

I did the zoom lecture today with them it was good, tomorrow I'm doing the training facility and qualify at the range.

I sent mine in 30 days ago and radio silence. I would guess around 60 days. I plan on calling just prior to the 60 day mark from getting the proceed to training email. I never received a confirmation email they got my certs.

Took about 2 months to get the call. They never confirmed receipt of my training docs.

But seeing as how they aren't currently issuing and we don't know how long that's been the case, the backlog is just growing.

Am I right, there won't be any pick-up until they have the new design template ready? But we don't know when will it ready.

I just called LASD CCW. She said the software update should be complete by the end of this week. She also said they are not mailing acknowledgment of receipt for the training documents they receive.

I had emailed my training documents to them on March 12, 2024.

I've called (and spoken to someone) twice now in the last 2 weeks. I was told both times that they were updating software to "comply with new DOJ reg's".

I also sent an email inquiry and received this reply:

"Our software is currently being updated per Penal Code 26175 and it requires us to temporarily stop issuing CCW licenses. We apologize for the delay, but we must comply with state law.

We will contact you to schedule an appointment as soon as our system is in compliance."

My inquiries are/were regarding my renewal and not a new issuance.

I am submitting my renewal in a few months, and was looking at the new online application(s), and have a Question on renewal application.. question 16: Are you now, or have you ever been, addicted to a controlled substance of alcohol, or have you ever utilized an illegal controlled substance, or have you ever reported to a detoxification or drug treatment program?
