I'd put it at highly likely that was the pick up call. I've received zero spam from unknown numbers. Do you have your voicemail set up?

Other people have said they've called the CCW Unit after missing a call and were told they were ready for pick up. I would give them a call!

I called them back and got their voicemail. I will try calling them back tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion.

Is this in the law or the issuing agency?s policy?

Been a long hard fight for me personally for something that ought not to have required anything at all. For any of us.
3 months doesn?t seem too horrible considering I?ve seen some much longer. Just moved to Glendora and looking to start my application process soon. Any advice with Glendora PD?

I'm trying to figure out how people who applied after me have already gotten a call for an interview everytime I email them they say it will be assigned as it is received and wont give anymore info in the contact us emails I answer every call who comes to my phone so didn't miss their call . I applied 6/25/22 and haven't heard anything since

If it helps, picture it?s like checking out at the grocery store. There isn?t one lane; there are multiple lanes. Some people ended up in a lane with a fast checker, some got in a lane where everyone had just a few items, some were even lucky enough to get in a lane that just opened.

Some people though got in a slow cashier lane where everyone is paying with nickels.

That's actually a great way to think of it!

I also often sit here thinking if my app was lost in a pile or if I'm just way back in the queue. I had mailed mine in 6/24/22 (410 days ago) and check was cashed 9/16/22 (326 days ago) so when I was hearing folks who submitted at the same time as me/after me already getting a call for interview, I was left a bit bewildered.

I believed it to be an IA policy as well as a CLETS-AFS technical issue, based on the thread linked below. The OP had a rather surprising outcome that I just went back and found out.

                  LA County CCW Timeline:
3/28/22- Dropped off application in person
                  4/11/22- Money Order cashed
                  1/4/23- Interview
                  5/6/23- PTT
                  5/10/23- Training Received (phone call)
                  5/27/23- Call for pick-up
                  6/15/23- Pick Up

I sent an email after trying their number a few times. They said it was not them. Got the usual generic response that my application is under final review.

So you were denied, re-applied for a renewal after your denial, and got through? Wow
Yea I didn?t disclose on phone and written but admitted via email when asked

It's so nutz to me reading all of these posts and staying in the background as my CCW was issued a few months back. I find it so absurd that these timelines have not gotten better but much worse. After Bruen the 2A community has suffered more than pre Bruen. I'm sorry to see y'all suffering for a fundamental right.

I also (hate typing this part) but I've have lost all faith in litigation, especially the 2A advocacy groups that on every good or bad news send emails out for donations (yes I do donate) but it seems like nothing gets done. Yes it takes time, yes it takes money but it feels like all of these issues are money based. The 2A advocates get our donations money, the state and federal lawyers and judges get our tax payer funds, the supreme court writes these vague opinion letters that leave the door open to so many interpretations that the opinion letters opens the door to more unconstitutional laws and they do that to stay relevant. Bruen for example: they issued the opinion letters and gvr'd a good number of cases back to the state courts to start the whole process again. What's gonna happen? A year at the state court, then another year appealed from either state or 2A lawyers, then to the appellate court for a 3 judge panel. Then either the state or 2A folks will appeal to the full judge panel then it will be sent to the supreme court AGAIN and rinse repeat. 10+ years.

I thought my 12 months waiting was bad then I read these horror stories of 14+ months for a frickin call? That's ridiculous. What ever happened to these soft threat letters being sent to the sheriff's and PD's? Nothing came of it. Absolutely nothing

Adding to my reply, I never received a confirmation for sending in my training. And my call came from “unknown” And not as “spam” (I have T-mobile).

Nice! I'm right behind you. I got my PTT on 6/9. I thought I received the call yesterday but according to CCW unit, it wasn't them. Hoping I get my call for pick up in the next few days.
