I realize we are an exceptionally small sample size, but it seems like we hit a plateau on anyone getting calls for interview, proceed to training emails, or calls for pickup. Anyone know anyone that had some movement lately?

I was having the same thought this week. Seems to be only renewals posting since June. Probably correlates when issuance increased two years ago.

He?s not exactly close, he holds his shooting portion at evans gun world in orange. But his fees are reasonable and if you are renewing only he won?t make you stay for the class.

I took my initial class and renewal through him and it was straight to the point

That's great.

When you say phone call interview, does that mean you did the entire interview portion over the phone, or that was just to schedule the onsite interview?

I thought you had to go in for the interview.

Finished my training course and passed the range qualification yesterday. So, one thing I?m a little unclear about. Does this mean I?m IN and just need to wait now for pickup appt? Or are there still some due diligence LASD is doing which could still lead to a potential denial?

Cold call at 9am, almost didn't answer, had a weird name on caller ID. He asked if I had about 15 mins to spare. All complete, submitted paperwork to him, and he confirmed once recieved. Told me once my live scan is complete wait for the proceed to training emai. He said about 3 more months till pick-up if everything goes through.

Timeline / details:

- June 2022 - Submitting my application to local Sheriff's station
- October 2022 - CCW unit received and processed my application
- June 2023 - Submitted Live Scan
- July 2023 - Live Scan complete (all three checks)
- July 2023 - Checked in with CCW unit, I'm about 1+ month(s) out from getting interviewed.

This is just hearsay, but I've heard on here that people who receive their PTT are almost guaranteed to receive their permit. Unless, I'm assuming, you do something that would ruin it between now and when they issue permit.
