A list is kept here, as of a week ago the listed status is accurate...

Per the linky that Cessna Driver posted, CCW'ing at the SD Zoo is ok...meaning they may have posted signs (I don't really know) but these are not legally binding. They can, of course, ask you to leave if they discover you are carrying. But to date, there are no metal detectors or wanding at the entrance.

Do note, however, that the Zoo parking lot is notorious for car break-ins. You want to be careful with anything that you leave in your car in that lot.

A gentleman walked in to the Sheriff's office this morning, hoping to walk out with a CCW.

He was told to go online and that the wait at the moment is over a year.

Start the permitium process and get the initial date. Then check multiple times a day, EVERY day for a sooner date. They do pop-up regularly.

SD Zoo is gtg. SD Wild animal park as well. We're yearly pass holders and have been ccw'n at both places without incident.

Seaworld is 50/50 along with legoland. I've gone later in the afternoon at both and no one was manning the security checks.

SDSO CCW Currently Issued 9414 as of 1/28/23 (overall Δ per day: +4.61; last ~6m Δ per day: +15.68).

Thats 2.85 per 1,000 residents for San Diego County.

By way of comparison, in 2019 San Diego was at 0.34, and Shasta was at 45.5. Among counties with comparable populations, in 2019 Orange County was at 3.73, Riverside at 1.24, and San Bernardino at 3.24.

Foototes: During late 2022 there were some fluctuations in the reported figures. The update of 24 Jun. also included an acknowledgement of NYSRPA v. Bruen and some related commentary. The update of 16 Jul. changed the number reported from "Current CCW Licenses Issued" to "CCW Licenses Active" and the figure dropped by about 10%. The update of 18 Jul. (only two days later) changed the language again, to "Total CCW Licenses Active" and the figure recovered about 5%. The update of 25 Aug. recovered about another 5%, returning the data point to roughly in line with the previous trend. Beginning with the Jan. 2023 update, the data from Jul. 2022 onward is highlighted.

CA county data sourced from https://web.archive.org/web/20210817...32198382.html; if you have more recent data, please let me know.

I submitted my initial application 1/17/23 and had an initial appointment date in December 2023. I checked multiple times a day and was able to move my appoint twice to 2/6/23. Did my livescan and "interview" and now I just have to wait 90 days. You have to be checking as much as possible throughout the day. Good luck!

Hey guy any class locations in the San Diego County area that can get me a CCW for some other states at the same time?

                            Thanks!
