    Good luck!
i qualified with 4 for my initial 2 yrs ago and 7 for my 1st renewal last month or so.

I did my Requal in Dec with four guns. No problem. They were even joking about a woman who held the record and brought 17 guns. More than three guns doesn't seem to be a problem unless something has changed recently.

The CCW page at SDSO says 3 but in reality it's unlimited.

I qualified with 3 and learned the truth, came back with 4 more the next week. I believe you have 30 days after your first shoot to add more.

Just finished my qual today. Three guns and only one flyer for the entire course of fire (300 rounds).

And that was on the first shot with my Sig P226 (.357Sig); I blame it on my recent carpal tunnel surgery!

Seriously though, I wasn't sure how I'd shoot since I haven't handled a firearm since the surgery in Feb. and the hand is still a little tender. Turned out to be a non-issue after all.

Upload and start watching the mail next...

I qualified with 3 guns with 45 rounds in 30 minutes. The other guy who was qualifying at the same time with one gun was not done when i went back to the class. remember the longer you spend in the range the more class room lecture you miss.

Has it taken anyone more than 2 weeks to get their license in the mail once submitting everything and paying the final fees? I'm at 2 weeks and counting. I know it says 3-4 weeks in the email but curious to what people are experiencing.

I submitted on a Tuesday and it was in my mailbox Saturday.

Did you send an email to inform SDCSO you uploaded your cert? Important step. The system does not inform them, it's up to you.

Yea I sent them the training complete/cert uploaded email. They responded back with the 3-4 week email.

I guess I'll just wait a bit more... Thanks for the info

My appointment is coming up next month. I double checked their website looking for any firearms restrictions. There's none besides needing to qualify without a laser right, right?

I mean, I don't see anything about a restriction on AR pistols, or 5.7, or 22lr.

So far, I have my Glock 19 and Glock 20 ready to go, but I kinda want to add 1 more gun. I tried the shield, couldn't make it work. I looked at the 26, but it seemed redundant. Been actually considering a 38spl revolver or even a FN five seven just because.

You cannot add an AR Pistol. Generally you can expect that if it would be cool or awesome, you don't get to do it in Kommifornia. There are no issues with adding a 22lr. I don't know about a 5.7. I'd be interested in knowing that too. You might call the sheriff's office and ask. Or you could probably call the place where you plan to take your class. They would probably know.

That is great news! I might switch things up and re-qualify there. Did you use Kyle?

Not arguing (since I have been looking for the answer myself), but are you sure about .22? Many jurisdictions in the state have a minimum .25 policy, but I have never been able to find any literature either way on San Diego.

                            I'm not a lawyer...however California Penal Code 261500 (b) (1) simply states:

"(1) A license to carry concealed a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person."

                            https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f...ctionNum=26150.

I find no reference on the Sheriff's web page that states any restriction. I recently cleaned up a .22 for a client who was getting ready to take the CCW course with that pistol.

Among other calibers, I have two .22LR and two .22 magnums on my permit.

And I think the “record” for # of qualifying firearms may have changed: I brought 10 and said I was sorry it would take so long. The guy helping me to form my list to submit said something to the effect “Don’t worry about it: We had a woman in here last week who brought 20 (handguns),”
