 http://www.ccwusa.com/ccw-permits/mu...te-ccw-permit/

 I found this place:
Check out concealed weapons permit courses here at PDS Classes. Find the CCW class information and sign up for one of our many courses today! Check out concealed weapons permit courses here at PDS Classes. Find the CCW class information and sign up for one of our many courses today!
for $50 more you get arizona and utah in addition to California.
 No florida though.

Also will I be able to qualify without the use of my left hand? I broke my finger the day after I finally got the approval.Last edited by Justintoxicated; 02-16-2023, 1:00 PM.Comment

 Applied: June 2022
 Initial appointment date: May 2023
Revised appointment date: Oct 31, 2022
 Approval: Jan 27, 2023
 Course and qual: Feb 3
Permit received in mail: Feb. 15

I did the training with David Premetz at Escondido Fish & Game and can't recommend him enough. One-on-one training, totally stress-free. And he's a sweetheart of a guy.

The physical makeup of the permit is the stupidest (or most petty-malicious) thing ever. Including a convenient and durable but worthless card with it is the second-stupidest.Comment

I called the SD Sheriff's office about this and the lady advised me to call SDGE and add my name to the current bill. SDGE's website will then generate a letter of residency that the SD Sheriff's office will accept.

I thanked the helpful woman and hung up with her and immediately called SDGE, added my name to the utility bill. I asked the rep about the letter of residency while on the phone with him and he directed me where to go on the website and said to wait about 5 minutes and it would be ready to go.

I then saved that document and uploaded it to permitium in January. I already had my interview a couple of weeks ago so I know this works.

 That should help you out.Comment

Contacted SDGE and got my name on the account and submitted the letter of residency along with all of the other documentation needed. Interview date is 12 Feb 2024. I'm hoping that day is real because it is a Monday and Lincolns Bday and the whole day was open for scheduling.Comment

SDSO CCW Currently Issued 10082 as of 2/24/23 (overall Δ per day: +4.92; last ~6m Δ per day: +17.36).

That's 3.06 per 1,000 residents for San Diego County.

By way of comparison, in 2019 San Diego was at 0.34, and Shasta was at 45.5. Among counties with comparable populations, in 2019 Orange County was at 3.73, Riverside at 1.24, and San Bernardino at 3.24.

Bleg: if you know current issued counts for OC, Riverside, or Berdoo, please let me know. I'd really like to update those to current for comparison.

Foototes: During late 2022 there were some fluctuations in the reported figures. The update of 24 Jun. also included an acknowledgement of NYSRPA v. Bruen and some related commentary. The update of 16 Jul. changed the number reported from "Current CCW Licenses Issued" to "CCW Licenses Active" and the figure dropped by about 10%. The update of 18 Jul. (only two days later) changed the language again, to "Total CCW Licenses Active" and the figure recovered about 5%. The update of 25 Aug. recovered about another 5%, returning the data point to roughly in line with the previous trend. Beginning with the Jan. 2023 update, the data from Jul. 2022 onward is highlighted.

CA county data sourced from https://web.archive.org/web/20210817...32198382.html; if you have more recent data, please let me know.sigpicComment

I was curious about my LiveScan status and realized the SD Sheriff doesn't give you your ATI number during your appointment. I emailed them last night to see if they could email me my ATI # but got a call this morning from the Sheriff's office stating they don't give out ATI numbers. The gentleman stated that around early May is when he expects everything to be done, as long as everything else checks out.Comment

My renewal was seamless. Expiration date is 3/4/23. Submitted all information 1/18/23. Was given notice of receipt of application and it would be processed close to my expiration date. Approved on 2/24 and permit received 3/1. They seem to have the renewals well organized.Comment

I applied to modify my permit to add a few more pistols on 2/16. Crashed a CCW course at DGM last Saturday. Uploaded a photo of the certificate that day and got a response on a SUNDAY. I got my updated permit yesterday. Took 5 days from upload to permit in wallet. Not bad, not bad at all.

Yes, the renewal process is well organized. My only complaint is that you end up losing some time. That is to say if your permit expires on, say, March 31st, and they send you your new permit on March 16th. Your new permit will expire two years from March 16th not from the 31st. There's got to be some dumb legal reason for this but it's pretty infuriating that your new permit can't simply pickup where the old one left off.

And on the one hand, it's only a couple of weeks, give or take. But the damn things are only good for two years and they aren't exactly cheap or convenient to renew. If they were good for 5 years like sane states, I wouldn't care."Kestryll I wanna lick your doughnut."
