why do so many come in here and BASH COPS

every time i come in the area to read a post some one is always bashing cops

it says LEOs; chat, kibitz and relax. Non-LEOs; have a question for a cop? Ask it here, in a CIVIL manner
not quickly bash a cop than jump out of the LEO area. why even have this area, cops are people too and great people who do a hard job

it's very simple you work for the people and if this is the manner in which those employers chose to express there frustrations than instead of being defensive about it. Take the time to listen and understand that this is a real problem and it's your fellow officers that need to be talked to not people on web boards about there conduct.

Perhaps you yourself have done things along these lines in the past.

And I think for the most part I think people give credit where it's due. For instance I had an off duty police officer put a 9mm beretta to my temple during a traffic stop.

I'm not exaggerating the barrel was pressed against my forehead, I was speeding on a deserted road in the middle of nowhere at noon, what cause was there for that. But that does'nt mean when another police officer writes me a ticket I'm going to blame them for that instance.

Another time fontana PD took one of my friends from his house during a screaming match with his mom to the mining area in rebedeaux and told him they could just leave his body there, the kid was 18 and they made him walk home with no shoes on.

There is a lot of bad stuff that happens and as a responsible member of that group of individuals you should respond to these kinds of things like they are an inbox of suggestions like a professional.

Because this is the internet. People who would otherwise never say how they feel to a LEO in person, now have free reign. (well technically not supposed to be rude and what have you) They are safe at home and anonymous.

You know what? This is really not working out.....I applaud 'CalGuns' for trying something like this with the best of intentions. But it has just gotten so vitriolic......I am a real cop, I don't need to play one on TV and I'm proud of it. When I'm working, I treat people the way they treat me. I couldn't care less what color you are, what sex, what religion etc. You pay my salary....I get that.....But if you think that gives you the right to insult me, yell at me, spit on me, assault me etc......then you have another thing coming. You don't OWN me !!!.....To quote one of my favorites:........"Either way, I couldn't give a damn what you think you're entitled to....."

And by the way, since you pay my salary.....I WANT A RAISE!!! Ammo prices are killin' me........

The anonymity of the internet has given you the ability to vent your frustrations with cops, for god only knows what reason. That was never the intent of this forum. I started a thread with the best of intentions......"What NOT to do around cops"........a few weeks ago and it got locked 'cuz it turned into a bash-fest just like this one. To all you anonymous bashers, just by reading between the lines, you dislike cops for one or more of the following reasons:

1). You got a ticket you didn't think you deserved.

2). You got your guns taken away cuz you did something stupid, but "You don't know what it was....."

3). You got arrested for slapping around your GF, eventhough she told the cops....."I don't want him arrested, I just want you to talk to him...."

4). You got your kid taken away cuz you did something stupid, but to you....."It was no big deal......"

5). A cop car went speeding by you without his lights/siren, but you don't think he gets to drive fast......"For no reason......" (At least not that you know of.....) But god help the cop who takes too long to get to YOUR call of a loud party, barking dog, illegally parked car etc........

6). Your wife, GF whatever hooked up with a cop, cuz she....."Really digs the uniform....."

7). You don't like the idea of ANYONE telling you what to do and you have no clue about police tactics......."He didn't have to do that......I'm no criminal!!!"........FYI, Most cops are not psychic.....!!!!.....But we will do whatever it takes to go home to our families..........

Look, I love CalGuns !!! I have met some great people on this site and to those of you who have voiced support for police officers......THANK YOU!! You are the reason we do what we do........

I am a gunowner and I love to talk about shooting, guns etc. I could not care less what any of you do for a living. I have had bad experiences with contractors (Don't even get me started....), doctors, dentists etc.....But I don't condemn everyone in that proffession........

I am done with the LEO forum. It's just not worth the abuse.........I get plenty as is.........

A: My guess is that if your temple is in the middle of your forehead, he mistook you as an evil cyborg. The mothership has issued a directive that cyborgs be killed. However your unconventional anatomical disclacement confused him. Did you shake his hand and thank him porfusely for not dropping the hammer? You might have shared with this Officer that a .45 has much better tissue disruption than a 9mm, but that't your call.

A: I think the Police were trying to get in touch with his soul. Did mom complain? I'm unable to find a problem with this one, with the exeption that I'm jealous for not employing it first. I try to be the first one to think out of the box. This tactic has Jesus Christ's personal endorsement. Admittedly though, Jesus field tested this technique in Galalie, not Fontana.

A: That's not the function of this sub-forum, which is purposefully very narrow. Also consider that many of these questions begin with the inflamatory phrase, "Why are cops such As**H*****? When a poster submits a question like this, he's not looking for an objective professional answer. He's only abusing this sub-forum,m and fanning the existing flames.

Here's a real life example. Presently, in my county there is a dentist who's being investigated for child pornography, and inappripriate touching of females. All the other dentists are closed mouth about it as they should be. Most of the dentists have websites to Q & A what a patient should expect to pay for a specific dental procedure, tips for good oral hygene, and what a patient should expect from their dentist. Some members of the public have posted on these websites asking dentist X what they think about the conduct of dentist Z. Not only do the other dentists not respond about their profession, they do consider their website forums to be used as "in-boxes". These kind questions just get deleted without a response.

A: This is an incorrect assertion. We do speak to our fellow officers all the time. This sub-forum is one of the ways we accomplish this. Because after all, it is reserved for our use. Visitors are welcomed aboard case by case. The LEO's didn't invent these rules. The owner/admin did. Your question implys that we don't. How much time do you really spend talking to your fellow citizens via webboards about their conduct toward the police? I truly believe that non-LEO's do not read these very specific rules before they jump in with both feet.

Try to give it another chance. True it was untended without adult supersision, and a lot of sand got kicked out of the box. Me and a few others are back trying to replace the sand and insisting on a very strict adherence to Kestryl'swell thought out rules.

Cops are regular humans too and can have a few bad days at work. Lets face it, theres good ones and bad ones. But I wonder what the ratio is? HAHA

I never worked a traffic car, and I didn't usually write tickets. But, one day, once in my career, I wrote 15 tickets in one shift. Every driver I stopped for a traffic violation argued and threatened me that they are going to file a complaint. That day was no different than any other days, but I didn't know why the drivers were like that. Maybe it was a full moon. I was pretty nice to most people most of the time, and most drivers drove off thanking me after I gave them the tickets in the past. I had to write those tickets to protect myself from a false complaint.

i started this thread to help stop the what was happening in this part of the forum, it seems to bring out all kinds of people, a large number of them bashers. I believe, like the military, law enforcement has a tough job to do and people cannot be pleased no matter how hard leos try. I don't thinks it's fair; I have witnessed first hand leos saving lives, and getting no press. I do appreciate the job you do and you have my utmost thanks.
