This is not exactly correct, just the other day I donated $100 by using the link at the top that's says "Donate to the CGF" , I did this via credit card, and yet..... My user name is still blue. (be happy to post up a jpeg of the receipt if you like).

Your money went to the right place, CGF. If your user name changed color, it means that your money went to the wrong place, CGN.

(Not to bash CGN, just saying, CGF>CGN.)

I understand that, but that wasn't the point, he asked why we are not financially giving to help this particular cause through CGF etc. read the first line of his post that I quoted.

I am not meaning to come off as just pissing and moaning, I do my part, but the broad stroke sof his post is that if your name is blue, or you don't have the small badges in your sig, your not doing what you could be, and this is not accurate or fair, I am just pointing out that I am sure there are plenty of people that are helping out that DON'T have a tan user name and badges in their sigs, nothing more.

Yeah I understand. I was trying to agree and add onto what you wrote, thats why I quoted you instead of the guy you quoted..... I just wanted to point out that being a CGN contributer is not the same as donating to the CGF.


I also understand what the guy you quoted was saying too, the large amount of work is done by a small number of members, although sig lines and colored name fonts is not a great way to gage who is doing what.

I fully plan on throwing some money at the forum as well, but as stated, I have to choose where my cash goes atm, the money to CGF was my nut for the month, and I felt it the more important place to spent right now. I personally understand the importance of all of these organizations and what they do, and how that helps us.

Yes, that statement by Yee also had me with eyes wide open, jaw dropped to the floor in disbelief...

For the thousands upon thousands of legal gun owners who enjoy the right to own and shoot BB/maglocked rifles to be shoved in to some category of undesirables that may threaten the lives of "everyone" is ridiculous... Everyone dying, Mr. Senator? Please...

Even if the bill passes, someone can still purchase a black market "evil assault weapon" and cause "everyone to die" (as per his claims) just the same. Time and time again we've said it, the only thing it will accomplish, is to disarm law abiding citizens from owning legal firearms. Savings lives is and will not be the sole purpose/result of this bill being passed.

Can't believe our legislators can't wake up and realize that fact, they're supposed to be smart people that we give the powerful responsibility of passing our laws to.

I believe that when one takes an oath of office as a State Senator, they take an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution. No? Since this Dr. Yee is in opposition to both the 2nd Amendment and the 5th Amendment with his proposed SB249, he should be recalled from office. I know... fat chance.
It amazes me that the state of California is broke and this fool will be causing massive legal expenses to defend his nonsensicle law. If this law passes, and that's a big "if", I'll be moving all my BB weapons safely out of state, with friends in Nevada.

To play the devil's advocate here. A Recall does not require that he violate the xn. You can grab the appropriate number of signatures to get him recalled. Fat chance is right, getting him recalled in SF or San Mateo which he represents. If he did anything that is against the xn, which means you have evidence to prove this and it is compelling, etc. Then he can be impeached, then removed from office.

However, what he's done here is not "against" the xn. per se. There are no xn laws that say, a person in California will own _______ (type of weapon). States rights, the xn allows restrictions to the Amendments for the best interests of the people in the respective state.

The key here is to stay focus and fight the bill, don't attempt to embellish or create your own fantasies on how this will be fought. The bill seems to be have issues that may be against the 2A or 5A, but that's a later fight. The key now is to get the assembly to kill it at the appropriations committee.
