I'd like to point out that some of the most active, passionate, and brilliant civil rights advocates and constitutional scholars, including Mr. Alan Gura, were not born in the U.S.

The United States does not hold the exclusive right to freedom, nor do its naturally-born citizens in every case cherish our American form of ordered liberty like those who've come here because of those founding principles we fight for today.

If those who were fortunate enough to have been born into a free society had, collectively, the fortitude to stand up for - and live up to - those things so often casually tossed about in conversation, perhaps we would be living in a different world today.

I spent the early part of the day with a couple Calgunners supporting the Congressional Campaign of Marilyn Singleton, who's running in District 13 against Barbara Lee. We all had a great laugh over this billboard.

                    Zebra, amazing artwork.
Brandon, you never fail to amaze.

Y'all, we can make such a difference if we simple take the time to show up. It's fun, too.

Now ask the most important question there is: Is this person a freind or foe in the big picture of gun rights. That's an answer you have to decide for yourself. Not everybody who doesn't contribute is a foe, but not all are freinds either.

Too much apathy and self absorbtion, verses looking outside yourself and putting your money where your mouth is. People spend thousands on their toys, contribute nothing to those fighting for our rights, and scream the loudest on this forum, after they slowly lose them. There should have been 22 K+ signatures. What about all the lurkers?????

Many of the outsiders who immigrate appreciate and understand liberty far better than many natural born citizens in America; further, they know the foundation of tyranny in a tangible way. Regardless of ones origin, we need to end the political careers of those who seek to trample our rights, nothing less.

This is not exactly correct, just the other day I donated $100 by using the link at the top that's says "Donate to the CGF" , I did this via credit card, and yet..... My user name is still blue. (be happy to post up a jpeg of the receipt if you like).

I am definitely NOT in a position right now to be throwing around that kind of money, it should have gone to my own bills, but I believe this is something greater than myself, and want to do my part. I also spend many hours posting anti-SB249 stuff on my FB page, posting up anti 249 stuff on other non-gun related forums, and writing letters to the senators and such.

The number of posts one has, and the color of their user name is not a fair indicator of what and how much they contribute to these causes. I do agree, it seems that more people should and could, but your post is in accurate, and paints anyone with a blue user name in a negative light in this regard.

Sorry for the rant, but I have been busting my butt to help on this cause, and to claim I have not because the user name color, just a little irritating.

And the user name color goes to help CGN run this forum, not CGF. While CGN may assist greatly, and may well be indispensable in getting the message out, its not the same thing.

I give money to a lot of causes and I dont advertise the fact. I dont need to.

I understand that, but that wasn't the point, he asked why we are not financially giving to help this particular cause through CGF etc. read the first line of his post that I quoted.

I am not meaning to come off as just pissing and moaning, I do my part, but the broad stroke sof his post is that if your name is blue, or you don't have the small badges in your sig, your not doing what you could be, and this is not accurate or fair, I am just pointing out that I am sure there are plenty of people that are helping out that DON'T have a tan user name and badges in their sigs, nothing more.

-edit, Sanpedro, sorry, just did a quick reread of your post, and I get your drift, I just, I guess, misread because it was a quote of my rant, as opposed to njeneers.

                                Cheers
