There's an iOS app called Dry Practice. I don't know if the $100 FS app is still in the store but this one was a bit more affordable. I picked up the bluetooth Peltor ear pro so I could listen to the line commands for the handgun test without having cables dangling. If you're looking for more structured practice, maybe consider the app.

Yeah, been going out to Frontsight since 2002. Taken about 175 classes...

Frontsight Rd was a dirt road, and the white tent was the ONLY physical structure on property. Naish gave the morning lecture. Free coffee and muffins.

The Pro Shop was the back of the white tent.

The hot chocolate was great in the winter.

Wife and I finished a private rifle yesterday, weather was good, but we are really tired wore put now.

Pro shop, empty, really no construction going on

Talked to the instructor about the new rifle marksmanship class, he states he feels a bolt rifle would be the best way to go, I asked about an ar 10, he felt it would be too heavy, and with the long time limits, a bolt gun would have plenty of time.

I'm glad to hear about the marksmanship class structure. I think it appeals to a good portion of the population.

Using Mantis X is a good tool with a ton of functionality to it. It helps to point out things that at times are hard to catch like mashing the trigger. It has really help me to improve.

However, the MantisX, which I purchased way back when it came out and I was new to firearms, didn't work much for me past a few months. It has been lingering in the safe for a couple of years now. Maybe I could sell it cheap in the Marketplace... Hhhmmm...

looks like i'll have to keep practicing, but now from concealment.

FYI, i just made my flight so i'm aiming for the 4/22 4DDHG class.

BTW, try to at least make sure that the concealment garment you're using to dry practice is the same (or at least similar) to what you'd be using in class (or be using during the test).
