There's a very real possibility that they learned: safe gun handling, familiarity with their firearm, trigger control, focus, breath control, posture and position, cheek weld, what ammo their gun likes best, what ammo they like best, how to load a mag, how to clear a jam, etc.

you are right. There IS a real possibilty! But they didn't, they weren't and from what I saw, they can't.

Not defending the whole "operator" schtick. But I'd rather shoot with them than folding table kooks.

Just like a helmet and radio are hokey, so is a Walmart grocery bag with freshly purchased boxes of ammo and a starbucks frapachino.

kind of like the local motorcycle [cooks corner ] hang out. full on biker outfit with bed roll mounted on the handle bar to go grab a beer 5 miles away . i guess it is about belonging to a group.

Lmao! That just reminded me. The other day I had a guy come in and he had a super patched up decent looking motorcycle vest. With a center patch crew name in the center. I ride too and asked him what club is that I'm not familiar with that CCA club/chapter. He tells me oh I'm not part of any clubs i just wear this for the look. Then his face was like awesome some one thinks I'm in a club!

I wanted to explain to him how that could potentially be dangerous and is VERY taboo in the MC community (use to be in one). But I felt it would just create bad tension and not go any where. I just hope a (harder, bigger MC) doesn't come across him and ask. That will end all bad for him. Super cool guys too but weird how badly people want to "look" like others to fit in or have the credibility to strangers that they must belong to something cool.

Did not watch the vid, but my thoughts are if the dude in the vid actually walk the walk. More power to him, he earned it.
What makes me laugh is the school tactically trained hero, that's never did anything more uncomfortable then a 3 or 4 day carbine class, never spent a day in a third world ***t hole. But likes to tell everyone how cool he is, because he has taken advanced handgun at such n such.
But at least the guys who actually lived it are making a crap load of money off the wanna be's and I think that is a lot of it. Dress the part and some fool who never served but spends 10 hours a day playing call of duty on his xbox, will hand over lots of cash, so he can be as cool as his instructor.

I train using the most likely scenario. When I go to the range, I'm dressed in my underwear and I'm half asleep. I'm having trouble getting kicked out of the local ranges but at least my training is realistic.
