There's something admirable about just not caring what people think.

Though not caring what people think is why Caligula was so slandered but, hey, whatever!
So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.

I saw a guy at the range with ww2 gear. Is that better or worse?

If he was using a PS90 worse, if he was toting era-specific gear then he was on the money.

My first problem would be being asked to call someone by the name "Voodoo" to start with. Wearing that kind of gear and requiring people to call you Voodoo while filming a you tube video in Chino Ca is a little strange. Might want to increase the medication levels?

I've found that the older I get, the less I care what people think. Maybe it's a matter of life experience, but it takes a long time for some people to get genuinely comfortable in their own skin. I think that's why most "posers" tend to be young.

Accidents happen. That is the fact of life. Don't blame someone for trying to mitigate those dangers.

My buddy took 2 rounds to his front plates during a live shoot house drill. 3 more inches and it would have been me to my lower jaw. I would be dead. This was among combat veteran's with over 100 years of military and shooting experience. Not anyone's first rodeo.
Lots of people have experience shooting. That does not automatically make them safe shooters. Again, you might want to reevaluate who you go shooting with if you feel the need for full body armor when you go to the range. There is no such thing as an "accidental discharge" of a firearm. There are plenty of NEGLIGENT discharges though. I don't care how many years experience someone has with firearms, negligent is negligent and I don't want to be around idiots who are negligent. If you insist on shooting with people who you feel might be negligent and shoot you, that's your problem.

Not the best video to make the point.

I always wear boots, 5.11s, gloves and a Tshirt. I prefer to wear my chest rig and gear belt. I want to get used to the feel of shooting with that stuff on.

The big difference is in what people consider "shooting". I know a lot of people that sit in a chair with a table and just scope shoot far targets. They will spend 8 hours doing that under an easy up. thats fine.

I prefer to mooch as much as I can from courses I've taken. Which is not practical in swim shorts and flip flops. Prone in the dirt, running, rifle to pistol transition.... I dont want to walk back to my truck every time a mag goes dry.

I do like the occassional .22/skeet day. But most of my firearms were not purchased for pleasure, hunting, collecting or novelty. I like to train with them in the manner they were designed. Unfortunatley, I gotta get a bit tacticool with them.

Look at the boobs I'm shooting with VVVV How mnuch you figure they learned that day?
