How do guys not get embarased (Operator Hating Thread)

How do guys seriously not get embarrassed dressing like this for the range?

I can understand if you are actually a Gov agency or Active duty to be in uniform/BDU's but for private ranges and these "Tactical Solutions" companies to wear this stuff.. How do you not feel awkward putting on BDU's and gear during the entire 20 min your gearing up to do a standard range day??

I work on a actual military base and these guys have more gear for this range video than actual Agencies/Military range drills.. Half the time they are in 5.11 pants/BDU's and have a simple side arm holster and their rifle in a sling with a T shirt.

Hell even the seals train in T shirts and NWU pants and that's it. How do you out dress actual operation teams for practice drills and not feel retarded?

I know, different strokes for different, but come on. Where does the dignity like start/end lol

That said, to not hate completely. This was a pretty decent video comparing and demonstrating the brake system. But the gear! Come on man! lol

And that F/A SBR was fu**ing AMAZING!

I generally wear my tactical Air Jesus Teva's to the range. Last time I went, I was in swim trunks, also. Just in case I have to board a battleship or something.

Wearing closed toed shoes is about as tactical as I get at the range.

I went to Oaktree yesterday to shoot a few rounds of Trap and happened to be wearing a SHOT show swag tee shirt. I guess I'm just not a tacticool mall ninja.

That's Voodoo of FOG. Former military, dod instructor, and military contractor. Personally know him, he knows his ***t... We share sandbox stories when I attend their classes.

Why not train like you fight?

I personally wear a full kit plus full armor/ach in classes. Not because I want to look cool, but because I don't want to get shot and not live to tell about it. The instructor in this video took a bullet to the gut, his armor saved his life.

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

It's not about the video but some times I feel like I should wear plates and Kevlar at indoor ranges. some of these mother ****ers are dangerous.

I dress like that everyday, under my clothes, just in case.

That's exactly the point of .. tshirts, shorts and sneakers is the way 99.999% of us would ever be in situation requiring firearms.

guarantee you they aren't "playing" in a controlled environment, nor would they be standing still.

people get a little hardcore with the train how you fight kind of mentality. you can fire a firearm for fun. every single time doesn't need to be practice for a real world event, or a drill...
