Camel back makes water easily assessable. Mind you mine is in my frame pack. I'll be operating it up in my 511s and polo shirt at front sights 4 day how to a super super carbine operator class soon.Comment

I'm impressed with his use of big words.
Also impressed with the use of 'urban prone'.
"Holy crap! I need to get low and/or shoot under an obstruction, what should I do?"
"Lay on your side!"
"Lay on my side? That's crap! I'll adopt the urban prone position!"Calguns.net, where everyone responding to your post is a Navy Force Delta Recon 6 Sniperator.Comment

I haven't been to a proper range in ages, but the last few times I was out in the desert shootin' spot I came straight from work. That means slacks, long sleeve button up and dress shoes, Aka straight gangster!
If guys want to play dress up at the range, it is not hurting anyone and more power to them.
If people want to giggle at them for it, it is not hurting anyone and more power to them.
That being said, are you at the range to shoot, or enjoy the fashion show?Comment

don't normally care, except that I stereotype those kind of people as dangerous Rambo types that think they are tactical gods... and will probably end up doing a desk pop or ND into my leg.I haven't been to a proper range in ages, but the last few times I was out in the desert shootin' spot I came straight from work. And if you think we don't have interests in a hobby that is potentially life-ending... May I suggest another hobby?
Accidents happen. That is the fact of life. Don't blame someone for trying to mitigate those dangers.
My buddy took 2 rounds to his front plates during a live shoot house drill. 3 more inches and it would have been me to my lower jaw. I would be dead. This was among combat veteran's with over 100 years of military and shooting experience. Not anyone's first rodeo.
The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

I wear my street clothes.
Seriously, even doing drills. If I do have to do any fighting (which I would prefer to avoid) that'll be what I'll be wearing anyway, so why fight it.So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.
