I have a Bush ORC on layaway I paid 1200 for BEFORE the crap fell out the bag and the guy says hes willing to bet that someone in the store right now would easily pay 2000 or more for it since its a 308...The crazy thing is that I dont even need another but I got it because Obama was re-elected and I KNEW SOMETHING would happen... if you dont already have one now??? You really really really messed up

Nobody complained when in 2009/2010 prices went so low or PMAG rebuild kits were 7-8$ (3 weeks ago). Since 2006 there were opportunities to buy receivers, uppers, demil. kits, AK/AR building parties all over CA. In my office I recommended people just to add 2-3 lower receivers to any DROSed gun that they were buying. Some people listened, some not.
What next, start whining that you did not buy gold at 300$ 8 years ago or nobody told you to study hard in high school to get a decent job?

Personally I always thought $1,800 was too much for a SCAR... You could get multiple ARs or AKs for that price... Well you used to be able to.

IN a week you wont touch a AK for less than 1200 and a AR for less than 1800.
And thats for bottom of the barrel Vulcan/Hesse stuff not top of the line stuff. And I am probably being very conservative with the prices.
I bet you can put a AR15, 8 mags and 1000 rounds for sale and you will easily get 4K for it right now. And people wont even blink at dropping the cash down.

IMHO, it's BS that the shops are capitalizing off this with greed. I mean we will always support the firearm industry no matter the circumstances, why rape us now? Their volume has exploded, why the need for 200-500% profit margins too? /rant
It's kind of hard to call them greedy when the going price for a receiver is $350.

                        I want it all...

For some reason you cant get 5.7 ammo. Some say demand, others say strike. Either way there would be a small amount coming in, but really have not seen much if any and they are not taking back orders. Medication has been effed up since obama. Reglan, fentanyl, versed, atropine, nitro, many other drugs in short supply. This has been all on obamas watch. Get your guns while you can and enjoy them. Cant control guns but can over regulate ammo, gun shops, ranges essentially making it such a pain in the arse. Been eyeing guns for a while but was being frugal, now is the time.

No, the last 4+ years was the time. Now you're running behind the bus that you may never catch.

Alright guys I think we all just shot ourselves in the foot. This is sad. I understand the panic but this is truly the end of the AR15 era/military assault weapon. This is my view... with so much people purchasing weapons and not a single ffl holder is asking "do you know how to operate or use this rifle" this is definitely going to lead into more accidental discharges in the near future. And not only that straw purchases are being made left and right... this is absolutely horrible... this will be another way for the government to put stricter gun control on us.
