Smith and Wesson M&P model 15TS, only 20 shots fired.................$2,400.00

Ruger Mini 14.Synthetic, stainless barrel. Never fired.....................$1,300.00
Please see my sigline. I put that there in 2008, and it's even more true today

Wow! This is crazy! I am not sure who is crazier… the persons selling items at outlandish prices or the people buying the overpriced items? Either way it is crazy. I am going to stay positive and look forward to some awesome gun deals after all the dust settles Hope I’m right

Yeah not buying anymore and will support shops that didn't gouge. Bob at MTG sold me his last 2 cases of XM855 AND gave a discount. Bought one of the last SIG 716 Patrol rifles at Wild Bill's at the same price as over a month ago. None of their rifles were marked up as people were lining up and snatching them off the shelves. They could have easily added another $200-400 per rifle but they kept pricing the same.

Good service and kept apologizing for the wait even though it wasn't their fault. They only had two phone lines and were jammed trying to DROS guns.

NFA LW-15 AR15 Poly Complete Lower Receiver x2 - starting bid $1,599.95, buy it now $2,399.95

This is just unreal. The same poly lowers I bought for $90 each on Black Friday.

We bought one last Feb at Parallax during their Valentines Day promo where you got a gift card, with it otd before DROS+tx was $75 Made a nice economy back-up to the other AR's.

                (lucky timing, eh?)

Agreed. Crazy, unreal panic buying + the over-pricing of new and used items. This is even seen on CG in FS section...I mean, seriously, someone is trying to get $45 a magazine?! Wonder if he sold them (that was last night last I looked)?

I MIGHT have to trade a extra AR for a M1A Loaded.......

I went out to a few places on the 21st just to see how crazy things have got and boy was I surprised!

Almost anything and everything gun related was marked up 20% to who knows LOL and not only was every store packed to the brim with stuff flying off the shelves.

I saw a Costa edition Larue 5.56 rifle that retails for 2800 sold to some chump with more money than common sense for 6k!

Regular Stag Arms lowers were north of 400 and don't even talk about .223 ammo. Almost every brand was near a dollar a round or above..............

When I went home and thought about it I first was pointing the fingers at the retailers but then again if you have someone shoving a fist full of cash in your face for something that retails for a whole hell of a lot less than what the buyer is willing to pay then why not. Can't really blame them for trying to make a buck.

I was at the Bay Area gun vault this morning picking up a hunting shotgun I'd bought there. They had customers flying in and out asking for lowers and black rifle parts of which they were pretty much emptied. Some dude walks in with a sig 556 and says he wants to consign it. They ask how much he wants and he says well at least 1600 after their cut. They tell him that he had bought it there a year ago for $1500 and didn't feel right gouging their customers even if people might be willing to pay for it. The dude got pissed and walked out. I thought it was a pretty standup move on behalf of the gun shop. No doubt they could have sold it for even more but they said they don't want to treat their customers like that.

The prices are way too crazy. I wouldn't even gouge my worst enemies for those prices

I was also at BAGV this afternoon. They were completely out of inventory. I've never seen it like this - even in 2008. Crazy.

If you are a Captialist, you would do the same thing that the dealers and Traders sellers are doing. Why leave money on the table? I find nothing UnAmerican from profiting from your foresight when others didn't have the foresight. You laid out the money, you bought the goods, you took the risk, why shouldn't you profit from it?

From an observational standpoint, it is sad but that's how the free market works, supply and demand. If you have the supply and demand goes through the roof, make your money. If people are that desperate for something, they will pay it.

IMHO, it's BS that the shops are capitalizing off this with greed. I mean we will always support the firearm industry no matter the circumstances, why rape us now? Their volume has exploded, why the need for 200-500% profit margins too? /rant
This exactly why (in part) our country is in the crapper. GREED. A few folks I have met are selling parts at a stupid price, what a joke they just had a gun show around here and some folks are selling the parts at a rip off price..
I know don't buy it if ya don't like the price, true although it speaks of someones character and personally I would be embarrassed to offer such a rip deal to others you know.. Making a few bucks for your trouble in order to offer stuff to those that missed is cool, but trying to gouge people is wrong. I am glad I not in a postion to be gouged.
