      i guess i lucked out

I am going to hate picking up my lowers on sat from river city gun exchange. I lucked out and ordered a bunch of reloading components before the shooting. However, I had 5 opportunities to buy bcm bcg's but did not.... Now I'm kicking myself.

An AWB hasn't EVEN BEEN PROPOSED YET. These people are nuts. Can you imagine them in a food store after an economic collapse? Everything was in place for this to happen, and it did. It shows you how little foresight people have today. Everything will be wonderful until the moment it isn't. Then they all act like idiots.

Don't feel too bad for people who are so called "panicking"...I mean seriously, how come they didn't have guns or any foresight to begin with? (ok if you just turned 21 etc or just never had the $$$, then I'll cut them some slack) They just cost more now, its not as if every gun, all the ammo , magazines etc dried up overnight. This is the price of procrastinating.

I went over to one of the Turner's stores yesterday to place a deposit on a Armalite AR15 15SPR1CB but those were gone. Got there before they opened and they had about 15 people outside waiting. Actually the rack was empty compared to when I was there a couple days ago. They had a flyer out on the counter saying they stopped taking deposits except for an order of Windham weaponry AR15 model R16M4FTT-CA for $999. So I placed a deposit. As long as I don't dros it yet I can get a full refund or move it over to another gun. I just did it in case, but I really want the Armalite. If all else fails my brother in law is working for Sun Devils in AZ the manufacturer of billet lowers/uppers.

I would never pay more than $150 for any .223/5.56 AR lower even in the worst of times. And even $150 is pushing the logic on that.

6 months from now, if there is no AWB, we may see record low prices for firearms/parts

I'm in the championship game of my fantasy footbal league and had been planning on using some of the winnings in a PSA midlength upper. Checked their website last night and pulled the trigger on the last available 5.56 upper, a carbine 16". Not exactly what I wanted but still only $350 so figured I might as well grab it before nothing's available for a reasonable price.

Best news is I told my wife about the craziness and she encouraged me to just buy it right then and consider it my Christmas present. Now I still have the fantasy winnings for more toys!!!!

The other than that upper the only other available was a 6.8 for anyone interested.

I hope that will be the case, but the antis are going to use the Sandy Hook tradgedy to their advantage as much as possible. This is nationwide and supply is not going to catch up until the antis have some form of restriction in place. The antis that we were afraid of the most if they are elected are unfortunately there now. I just hope the 2nd Amendment prevails.

I listened to 870 am radio here in Los Angeles a conservative positioned news/talk radio station where he talked about Obama using these tragedies to push non related agendas such as tax increases. They are not looking to fix the problem just push their own , majority public approving, voter getting agendas.

As do I. And i revise my previous statement-beginning of April-if nothing changes and no new legislation is introduced (unlikely, I know).

I was talking today with my son who works in merchant banking services and has several gun shops as clients. He said as an example a small shop he services was doing about $1-$3k per day in September thru late November. Dec started to pick up into the $3k-$5k range but mid-Dec it's gone nuts, at $17k-$23k per day. Every gun shop he services shows a similar exponential sales curve exploding since mid-Dec.

The scene from my local gun shop. The owner told me that he had 300 ARs and other semi autos a week ago. Now, this is all he's got left.
