There was still tons of fud and misinfo on future weapons.... but it was still a very cool show. (I did hate one thing about it, and that was how he talked, ya don't need to whisper in your gruff smoker voice the whole show...)

I think they only did 3 seasons, ending in 2008-9.

If you cant figure out how to put together an AR on your own you should not be in the trade. Don't even get me started on them trying to pass off very old designs as their own.
Its getting hella Hollywood. All the temper tantrums and ish. Just because you throw a piston system on an AR DOES NOT GIVE IT THE RELIABILITY OF AN AK.
As if the gas impingement system was flawed or something. I personally will pass on a piston AR. Ya what they do is hardly exciting. The blowing stuff up also is starting for some reason to just get old. It would just be nice to see them make REAL custom guns. Not AR's that they machined. We've all seen a million custom machined AR receivers.

As to the show, it's entertainment, just like everything else on tv. Would you watch it if there wasn't drama, comedy, explosions, etc to keep you watching? Probably not. Who wants to watch a dry, boring show of people just putting parts together, running machines, and painting? Hell if anything a show like that would be considered how to and never hit the air cause it would show people how to build guns step by step.

The same criticisms exist on most shows like this. American Chopper wouldn't have made it as long as it has if it weren't for the drama, the train wreck builds that come out of OCC, etc. it's good entertainment that even non bike owners watch, just like Sons of Guns is for non gun owners and gun owners alike. Take it for what it's worth and quit crying about it. You don't like it, don't watch it.

Me imlike American Chopper and Sons of Guns. Gave American Guns a shot, but it was boring somi stopped watching it.

So you mean Red Jacket didn't invent the AR-15?

I hope the "General" does not buy the AR from them. Because those rifle have not been tested or proven to work long term. Throwing the rifle in dirt a couple of times doesn't count. All the major manufacture go through a rigorous test to "prove" that their rifle can withstand the test of torture. HK buries, freeze, heat, soak, run over with truck, shoot thousand and thousand of rounds before they can say it's GTG. How many problems did this game changer have during this build? How many problem that might be there that they haven't found? I would not entrust my life or a nuclear facility with a rifle that has not been time tested, drop tested, what ever testing that need to be done. Get a HK416 and be done with it. I live in Kalifornia, Steph is not hot. But I do watch the show purely for entertainment.

While I don't care for watching either Sons of Guns or American Guns in the business perspective of things i can understand why they are doing the trained monkey thing. Because they are all probably getting paid a f**k load of money to do it. More than they would normally make doing the mundane job that they have. Sure its a fun job IF you like guns otherwise it would be just a job. lets face it how many of you would sit there and watch a guy working on putting a gun together. I mean SNORE city right? unless there was some sort of drama or action happening it would be BO-RING
it's no different than any of the "reality" shows out there. its all made to entertain. Good bad or indifferent they make money from sponsors who buy the airtime. Simple as that.
Just because i dont watch the show doesn't mean they are gonna cancel it. Eventually it will run its course and go the way of the Dodo bird.
you guys are dissecting shows that probably take hours and hours to tape and get reduced to a 22 minute show ( remove the commercials)
I made my decision a long time ago. I do not feel the SoG puts gun owners in a good light. The American guns either. All it has is a 17 YO young girl who they sexualized to make guys drool and a mom who has a set of breasts she can use as a chin rest. Sons of guns has a owner who thinks he knows everything

No different than the automotive shows they have on Spike. These guys make a 6-8 hour project look like a 10 minute easy peazy ordeal. My buddy wanted to put a set of rear disc brakes on his truck cause one of the show hosts did it on some truck like his that had drums. he said it would be easy I laughed and told him to set the whole day aside. he figured 2 hours max. Took us about 8 hours.

First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.
