I think the show is horrible. I will watch it though just to see how ridiculous things are where the "create" these projects that have been around for years.

The one thing that makes me the most furious is the LACK OF GUN SAFETY, in many episodes when they are in the firing range you can see someone pointing the gun at some one with out any concern.

I only watch Son of Guns because its fun yelling at the tv.

...Guys, this show is for entertainment purposes only, more of a reality show. If you want facts watch documentaries. The episodes that I have watched, I can point out all the FUD, and BS they spread. I assume this show is intended for those with little to no knowledge about guns, to try and get people on board...They are not game changers, they do however, do a great job at attracting people into the hobby.

don't kill me but, I like any gun show on tv because of the guns. Thank goodness they didn't use a PWS or LMT piston system. I like them both. I think Chris is dumb as dirt, I think of him as a comic relief. I do think Vince, Flem, and the teacher knows what they are doing though.

All this hate I think you guys need to remember a few things:

1. These shows are good for Cali gun owners. It increases gun knowledge and subsequently ownership. Gun sales are up and not just because of Obama.

2. These shows are made for entertainment. Without all the drama no one would watch a technical show about guns. They purposely instill drama. You can cut a show to make someone look like a genius or a dumbass... it's all hollywood...

3. The shop owners are giving up some pride for marketing. This show WILL make them rich. I bet a large majority of the haters could never get their act together to even start a gun business. Those that can, I am willing to bet most would take the exact same route taken by red jacket. In the end it's a business - it's about making money.

Steph looks like she lost her jaw to cancer...like a 50 year old lady who chews tabacco...also love the fact that in 3 weeks she went from dating chris to wanting to marry him..i know in real life it took longer but come on keep that bs off the tv.. The only one i have any respect for is flem cuz the boy has seen some things and he always keeps to himself...but im sure the producers will find a way to destroy him...switching to that other gun show with the anorexic teenage tramp! HA!

Sadly SonsofGuns does a lot of damage to gun owners.

Think about the anti gunner who might stumble into the show, perhaps with an open mind:
They see low IQ individuals who are able to create brand new firearms that are more powerful than anything ever seen previously, then the anti's fears are proven valid as SonsofGuns employees over dramatize the firepower of every 'creation' they handle by adding hidden explosives or hidden cans of gasoline to make amazing explosions.

Now think about the opinion of this open minded anti gunner.....

Yeah, television just proved:
*Idiots can build incredibly powerful weapons.
*No special tooling or equipment are required to build incredibly powerful weapons.
*Every gun causes massive explosions.

The predictable results:
*Stronger fear of guns.
*More regulations to prevent home builds (AR from parts, AK builds, 80% builds)
*More regulations to prevent/control firearms on public lands.
*More regulation of shooting ranges due to the high explosives problem.

No, SonsofGuns is not good for us, it is actually a better tool for the Brady Campaign.

Common, do you guys really think these anti-gunners are watching this (or any show about guns)? I think some are taking this too seriously, either that, or I'm not taking it serious enough...Still not sure which it is...
