flem couldnt weld his first day, but on the 20 mm lahti, best welds ever.
also, ive never personally met an airforce pave low door gunner. maybe they exist, maybe someone could prove me wrong.
i could go on about the show, but like others have said, its just entertainment i guess.Originally posted by Marcus von W.Is that banjo music I hear?
"Sporter" is what the drooling toothless inbred albino with the hacksaw thinks his newly created "dear riffel" is.
"Bubba" is what he and his ugly and ruined rifle really are.
First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.
Next thing you know, you think "Deliverance" is a love story.Comment

Buffer, not piston.
Sooooooo your AR shoots full auto I presume....? No. That's why they needed the hydro buffer.Comment

We (the air force) had MH-53 door gunners until the AF retired the pavelow, mainly based out of Hurlburt field, now its just the MH-60 and maybe the CV-22.flem couldnt weld his first day, but on the 20 mm lahti, best welds ever.

Well put. Many of the current reality shows about fascinating businesses are the same way. American Chopper, Pawn Stars, Gold Rush Alaska, they all follow similar formulas. They're not made to be shown to experts in their fields; they're meant to entertain outsiders. Look at Pawn Stars. I went to that shop last time I was in Vegas. Very ordinary looking pawn shop with handwritten paper signs on some items ("This item seen in episode #43" or whatever...) and lots of souvenirs for sale. One of the countermen said that since the TV show made them rich & famous, the Harrisons and Chumlee never work there anymore, they just come in to tape the show, maybe sign some autographs and they're out of there. Also, the only stuff that actually says "Pawn Stars" are the episodes on DVD, everything else says "Gold & Silver Pawn Shop." This is the effect of TV writers coming in and having to make a ho-hum business interesting. Eventually shows like this will fade in popularity and be cancelled, so they're striking while the iron's hot. Guns are in right now so Red Jacket is cashing in. Had they not hooked up with RJF, Discovery Channel would have found another gun builder's shop to do a show about. All this hate I think you guys need to remember a few things:
1. These shows are good for Cali gun owners. It increases gun knowledge and subsequently ownership. Gun sales are up and not just because of Obama.
2. These shows are made for entertainment. Without all the drama no one would watch a technical show about guns. They purposely instill drama. You can cut a show to make someone look like a genius or a dumbass... it's all hollywood...
3. The shop owners are giving up some pride for marketing. This show WILL make them rich. I bet a large majority of the haters could never get their act together to even start a gun business. Those that can, I am willing to bet most would take the exact same route taken by red jacket. In the end it's a business - it's about making money.I'm good with numbers:

Yeah that's funny. Chumlee was on Top Gear and he actually sounded way more well spoken, like he dumbs it up for the show or something. And they are all making a ton of money, he said he has like an Aston Martin and a few other high end cars.Well put. Many of the current reality shows about fascinating businesses are the same way. I'm glad it was Future Weapons that flame my interest in firearms 2 years ago. The guy is knowledgable, professional, and has a great fun sense of humor.
Had I watched any of the gun reality shows that are currently on...I'd probably would have been turned off to guns. It's entertainment value is questionable, but the guns that are constantly show cased on these shows are butt ugly.Comment
