Nice quote. I would rather be pist on than rely on a DI gun.

In the 3 or 4 episodes I've seen, the owners and employees of Red Jacket have been continually depicted as arrogant unprofessional dufuses (dufi?). I have seen them treat potential customers with disdain; misuse and mishandle firearms, including throwing firearms in anger; building impractical items that most of us would never use (seriously, a mortar?); openly refuse to help other employees, etc. My concern is that anyone not already a gun enthusiast will watch the show and come away with the impression that gun owners are an ignorant hot-tempered elitist bunch.
As a relative newbie to shooting and gun ownership and a watcher of the first season or so of SoG, Will does make the gun shop seem like an intimidating and unfriendly place. There were at least a couple instances where he mocked the customer's apparent lack of knowledge regarding firearms rather than reach out and educate them. He really makes the world of gun sales seem elitist and not for the casual fan of gun ownership. The other gripe I had is the inflated prices he charges for his masterpieces. I think he wanted $10k for the "Master Key" which was a $500 Saiga bolted to a $1000 AR. But not knowing what costs were involved with getting into the hobby, I figured gun ownership was only for rich.

If the show wanted to actually examine the realities of the different gun laws (including California's), I think that would be great. There could be drama or "inventing" involved to modify a certain gun for shipping to a California "client". The whole "what kind of crazy gun and silly backstory can we come up with today" has run out of stea,.

just insulting. Anyone who buys that crap is watching tooooo much TV
i have friends who watch this show and think its great. this is how they learn about firearms. unfortunately they still have no clue about how a firearm works. but they sure do talk big about the show. one of them even went on to mention that when you slap in the mag and pull the charging handle on an ar that it will load 2 rounds into the chamber, and when you fire it the first shot is a 2 round burst.

i dont talk to him too much anymore. and when i do he often asks if i will take him shooting. i usually tell him im busy, then i go by myself. dont want him shooting 2 round bursts out of my ar.

Just curious, what type of engineering do they put into these things? Is it more than just ordering the parts and throwing it together? Or are they just trying to make the show sound more interesting. Just curious
All I can do is agree with you...... It was like what did they do to make it so special...... Oh they put a piston systym in....Will invented the piston system I forgot.

I beg to differ, she's more like a 4.25 on the cali & Louisiana scale maybe she's a 6.25 only cause; she has a few snaggle teeth a small muffin top and doesn't wear a moomoo. But LA has some hotties, you'd be surprised!

He is a pompous Jackwagon that thinks everything on the show is new and exciting....

OMG a monolithic upper. It took me 3 days to build my upper receiver and Daniel Defense rail on solid works. I could probably get the CNC program written in maybe one more with the help of someone skilled in machining so i know what steps to do in what order.

Everytihng they do that is "new" has already been done. Pistons done, mono uppers done, long range ak(its called the SVD) done,

Only thing that they have done that i had not seen anywhere else is the BASTARDIZATION of that Thompson.
When they Bastardized the Thompson i was like are you serious! I would love to have a Thompson and just keep it as is. But noooo they go and kill it. But the best part is when Steph was shooting the Desert Eagle(which i question the backstory to that but i digress). Anyway she was shooting the DE and the cut scene showing her saying wow girl you are not kidding(about the power) she was holding a Beretta 92fs!
