    For San Diego:

Discount Gun Mart on Morena - Awesome owner, bad employees.

Turner's in Clairemont - Love'em, never had a problem and bought/PPT'd several guns there.

SoCal Gun - A bunch of morons, horrible customer service.

Direct Action Solutions - Awesome place, awesome staff, did most of my business here once I found out about them.

American Shooting Center - FUD factory
I am a law enforcement officer in the state of Colorado. Nothing I post is legal advice of any kind.

i stopped going and referring people to field time. all the employees are bipolar at times. sometimes they are really helpful and other time they just want you out the door. the prices on reloading equip are better than stockades but they have lost me for over a year. plus i see a couple of employees now working at stockade and fowlers bob's wife never honors any discounts promised

No such thing as a best dealer in northern or so cal.

They are all some varying degree of bad.

Rifle Gear- Customer service is ok if they aren't busy. Prices not so good for the most part.

Ammo Bros- Customer service is ok. Prices are not the best but they have deals ever so often. I mostly buy ammo from them at gun show. Its 10% cheaper than the store price my guess to compete with Miwall. I also use them for gun show PPT.

Turners- Customer service ranges from terrible to good all depends on the time, place, and persons working. Prices are mix lot mostly wait for the sale ads might have the gun you want on sale.

Field Time- customer service is good. Prices are not so good I have yet to buy a gun from them at all. They don't pout about doing PPT's atleast

Stockade / Fowlers- customer service is hit or miss. Prices suck period.

OC Armory- Never been there so i don't know.

Straightline- I've been here a handful of times. Judging from the prices i saw in store and at the gun show prices are mixed. Customer service seems ok but i have never bought anything from them.

Martin B. Retting- Customer service is fair. prices blow

Gun Gallery- The guys who work there come off either nice or rude depending who you are i guess. Prices suck. They do have a nice store one of the nicer ones i have seen. I believe the main clientele is Armenian and they are suppose to bargain with them. I don't like playing this game i want to know the price without having to ask.

              Gun World- Prices suck period

Guns Direct- only been there once prices where not impressive.

plenty more but i cant remember

In San Diego County I think we have been lucky to have a couple of the best gun shops in the state in Parallax Tactical and Direct Action Solutions. Both of these shops have outstanding customer service. They are both killing my credit card. In addition we also have Precision Arms and Quantico Tactical Supply. Both have excellent customer service. We also have one of the better Turners (based on my experience and comments here on Calguns) in San Marcos.

I haven't gotten that warm and fuzzy feeling from Duncans so I rarely visit there.

I have had nothing but great experiances at rettings, riflegear, get a gun in bakersfield. Ive had good to ok at oaktree, turners san marcos-chino hills-corona, ole boy in bakersfield, sacramento black rifle, barnwood arms in ripon. I will not go out of my way to go to or avoid- 2nd amendment in bakersfield, discount guns san diego, just guns in sac. I will never go to/buy/sell/transfer IAC/pd gun supply or any ffl dimitri is affiliated with.
Iam a good shot. At least i think i would be. Iam a good free throw shooter.

Parallax Tactical and Direct Action Solutions are great shops here in the San Diego Area. Good customer service and good people.

Turners Pasadena has been awesome for my last 3 purchases. Sales people were great. Fort Courage in Simi is good also. I'm not thrilled with any gun stores in Burbank where I live though. I try and give business locally but Gun Worlds sales people are the worst, they just ignore you, Guns Direct has pretty good sales people but they don't stock any accessories like night sights, I wanted some for my Glock 30 and they said they would have to order them and installation would be 50.00 WOW Really? They also wanted like 130. for the Trigicons I could get online for 80.00 Aegis also does not stock accessories, their sale people are pretty good but if I have to wait to order something I might as well order it myself and save some cash and a drive. I haven't had any really bad experiences other than being ignored at Gun World 11 days ago when I decided to go to Turners for my springfield and 590. Guns Direct couldn't match the price on my Springfield and thats totally ok, not to many stores can match Turners prices but I can't afford to spend an additional 100.00 to support locally. Thats my 2 cents.

There's nothing worse than the snotty clerk who thinks he is an operator because he gets to carry while at work.

Turners is not a great PPT choice. Lookie loos and tire kickers who MIGHT buy something take precedence over your transfer needs.

Waited an hour and a half to do a PPT at Turners in Signal Hill, most the time I was there was because of there 1991 computer system was so SLOW!!!, all the Turners seem to have these old beat up laptops....im sure there servers are not far behind!!
