worst place ive been is turners in signal hills. The customer service sucks. Did a ppt their, but every customer who was interested in buying a gun, pretty much were told they were too stupid to own one. Best place ive been EBR Works.

The trouble with chains like Turners is the employee's they hire have either no people skills or business skills. I guess you can't expect a whole lot for minimum wages, but the manager of each store needs to keep a close eye on employee customer interaction.

Common courtesy to customers should always be expected right? Regardless of business skills from employees.

Desert Storm on Q in Palmdale is very accomodating, knowledgeable, and honest.
I'm just getting back into guns. They gave me a fair price on a scope and mounted/calibrated the scope as part of the deal.
I'll be buying from them again.

BJ's sporting goods in Hemet was an awesome shop the last time I was in there. Hemet sucks but the shop was good. Haven't bought a gun there in about 16 years. Things may have changed.

Ok... some may disagree with me, but I have been to Ade's, Rifle Gear, Field Time, Stockade Westminster and Orange, Ammo Brothers, and Turners in FV... I have not had anything other than good service from all of them. I went to all of them recently and bought something from Field time. Now I am an assertive individual although I have the patience to wait my turn or take a number. All the employees I spoke with at all the stores were courteous and knowledgeable and most were avid shooters themselves. I have not had a bad or undesirable experience with any of them, so I don't know what others are talking about with these stories of horrid employees and awful service. My problem is they are all too nice and I keep coming in to spend more of my cash... the bastards...

RifleGear, Ammo Bros, Turners in Corona and Pasadena, Bright Spot Pawn in Riverside, ProForce in Brea.

I live in the SGV and drive to RifleGear because of their excellent service, especially on out-of-state transfers.

+1 again. I was in there today and told them I was just checking out AR's. They spent a lot of time with me and let me handle every AR in the shop.

You're referring to one OTHER than the one in Culver City, right?

Noticed you're from the SF bay area. Is there one there?

Like many other stores, it depends on who you get, but my experiences there have been negative. I used to stop by there about once a month to browse.

Every time I tried to get help/service, it was like were doing me a huge favor by paying attention to me.

Went shopping for guns with a female friend who got her HSC and a utility bill and wanted to get a gun very soon, that day if possible.

MBR left a REALLY bad impression on her.

There's a couple really good guys at Turner's Pasadena. Sometimes it's freakin slow and there's always people pickin up stuff or browsing so it can be crowded but I can't complain they got a good selection.

Bain & Davis is a very "American" store if that make sense. They favor old school guns and they damn well should!
