    is good! Nice picks Latigo.
I love it. When I retire I'm going to have something like that...I hope. Thank you for the pictures Latigo and sorry to the OP for this little distraction.

I used to have a high level manager that always said "Hire for attitude and train for aptitude". He felt that attitude was a critical element of success and difficult to change. Technical skills can usually be augmented through training.

I have always remembered his statement.

Agreed. I know this RO and he is a very nice guy. He was just trying to help. I do not like people in my business either but in this case being a RO it IS his business. He is the range officer.

Good one. I always remember, and try to live by the advice of one of my first managers. Infact, I have it in my signature line: The only thing worse than an idiot, is someone who argues with one.

This is one reason I chose not to get into a discussion with the problematic RO.

I like that one. It reminds me of one that is not quite so PC. "Arguing on the internet is like the special Olympics. Even if you win, you are still retarded." I think it is an insult to folks with limitations but the point is pretty spot on.

His business is to make sure the range is safe. Some of them seem to think that entails shooting lessons, legal opinions and gear critique. That isn't the job of a range officer.

UPDATE and Thank You for listening to Mr. Bronge, Rifle & Pistol Range Manager.

I just got off a phone call to the Range and spoke to Mr. Bronge regarding my observations last Sunday. He thanked me for the information and mentioned the Board has and will handle the problem. He also mentioned that if I ever have any other problems at the Rifle & Pistol Range to contact him directly.

Because of this customer service shown by Mr. Bronge, I will continue to frequent this range, and I encourage others to do so and not write it off.

"I am the guy that's full of himself and I am a certified RSO plus I also am a LPRG Board Member so you tickled the fancy of the right guy. Come up some Sunday and I'll let you run the show just so you can see how easy it really is, if you have the good ol American guts to take me up on it that is.
The name is Rich Descoteaux and I'll be glad to talk to anyone with a problem that does not hide behind a website using some name other than their own. "

You would really let someone else run the show so that you can prove your point? That seems extremely childish and pretty damn unsafe......BUT ill most definitly take you up on it. So next sunday it is than Rich? Range Master GhettoJet reporting for duty sir.

Somehow I doubt that the head Ro will allow "mr. full of himself" to do that.

but ive already started to designed my uniform and everything. Do you think this badge is official looking enough? I Could always just go down and pop off the "rangemaster" decal on my stove though.
