Disapointed with Livermore Range RO's

The RO at our range is as tough as they come. For as long as I can remember She'd holler "If you guys don't put those rifles down and get in here right now I'm going to give your lunch to the dog!"

Yep. Ma is a tough RO and you could hear her all the way out to the 300 yard line!

Interesting how people react to RO's and range rules. The rules commented on here are pretty much what I have seen at my local range, but apparently they vary depending on where you shoot. I would have expected it to be pretty much universal that you don't bring up or handle firearms during a cease fire.

Not all ranges have identical rules. There are always variations. This does not make a range unsafe. A range becomes unsafe when the RSO's are lax in observing (or simply ignore) the rules. Some things I have encountered at Livermore include: very poor and confusing announcements, RSO handling firearms during ceasefire, shooting the bull instead of watching the line, handling customers firearms without permission, insufficient RSO's to shooter ratio, yelling at people over the PA system.
