For all the ragging Jay is getting, it's worth pointng out that Maggie made some very positive comments on how he had been of great help to her annd the team. Editing has much to do with his character personality. Only Jay and Maggie seem to recognize he's the team captain which seems strange. Jay has a strong mental game and is very good at strategizing (i.e., selecting lower targets to avoid civilians.) The guy that needs to go is the one who broke ranks and voted for Jay (forget his name and not going to look now as I'm on my phone.)

I feel the need to step in here. Jay is actually a really good guy. He rubbed some people the wrong way in the first few days of the competition, but he's not as bad as he's being portrayed. Not even close! He never really bothered me much at any point.

However - I can also tell you that since the show wrapped, he has kept in contact with me more than anyone else. I look forward to getting home to SoCal and going shooting with him and Maggie and Kyle.


Tonight's M-14 (M1A ) challenge was one of the funnest challenges we did. I hope it looks good on TV - we had a blast!

This is still too early but if Jay wins then it could be like the Chris Moneymaker effect for poker. The average guy thinks he can do it as well and introduces a whole new audience to shooting. This may actually be great for our sport. Granted his grip and stance are awkward but the challenges are fun to watch
