Never initiate force against another. That should be the underlying principle of your life. But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.

I can't believe what an dumb__s Jeremy was, making the mistake once by running up the hill with the rifle i'll give you but to get up, go to the next satin and do it again? He's a good shot but can't follow directions so the team made the right choice.
Remember, in the end its Top Shot, not Top Team so as one of the competitors you need to weed out the biggest threats so you can win.where are my pistol mags?Comment

Sorry, just saw the episode. Honestly, I thought Jermaine was going to win the whole show and become Top Shot.
This episode really highlights the importance of the mental part of any competition.
I really liked the Barney Fife...err David vs. Goliath aspect of the elimination challenge. It was funny how during practice, Jay says he wants to be taught how to shoot his targets faster. I know he's learned by now that cup and saucer (Barney Fife - style) will not get you there. Although, I sort of agree that competition is not the time to use a new technique.
Sorry for any of the Darryl fans out there but he was a d!ck. Sure, Jay doesn't seem to be the best teammate or leader as far as what is shown but he does perform. For Darryl to vote for Jay because he doesn't like him and then take the decision out of Jermaine's hand was total crap.
The next episode should be interesting because now they're moving into one of Jay's specialties, archery. I wonder what Darryl will have to say then.
The next episode after that should really highlight Chris Tilley and Maggie, that is if they makes it to that episode. I'm guessing that episode will have USPSA/IPSC shooters from last season as the expert trainers because this is what they will be shooting:

Btw, the RazorCat above is made by Johnny Lim and named after JJ "Razor" Recaza from last season's Top Shot."When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. I wonder what would happen if Chris Costa or Travis Hayley were competators on this show?
I couldn't believe, Jermaine's preformance on the M1A challange. I hope that not indicitive of the way our homeland secuirty agents act under stress. Even so I wasn't expecting Jay to beat out Jermaine (no offense Jay), I guess being mentally in the game counts more than previous training.
Can't wait to see the next one! I'm absolutly no good with a bow, and the setup reminds me of a pool table trick shot. Should be interesting.ATTN FEDERAL AGENTS: I DON'T ACTUALLY OWN ANY GUNS, I'M JUST HERE FOR THE EGO BOOST.Common sense is so rare these days that it really ought to be classified as a superpower.Comment

Reality TV, like this show, is "created" in the editing room.
Leave some parts out of the interviews, focus solely on one person's view, and you create the "good" and "bad" characters.
Regarding Jay during his elimination challenge practice...he did the right thing. Anyone who plays golf knows that the day before the event is NOT the time to change anything as fundamental as the grip (on a gun or club). The practice range weeks ahead of time is for tweaking stuff.
It'll be interesting how well the next episode goes with Archery.Comment

Ok I'll come clean.
I work on part of the production crew on TS.
While crew is pretty much restricted from "mingling" with contestants during the taping, it's great to see you guys posting here with your reactions on CGN!
WELCOME GUYS!
My position on crew was always in the field so its fun to see all the house drama play out on TV that I didn't get to see "Live".
Crew is also sworn to confidentially in all aspects of the show, but all I will say is this season is great, and IMO better than season 1.
Keep watching for more unpredictable surprises!

OTOH, he was in the zone and prepared to GO-GO-GO and run up the hill and shoot the whole course by himself. It's not very realistic in an incident for an agent to hand over his pistol to a buddy and say, "Hey, I shot the last terrorist, this next one is yours."
Yup, it was Jermaine's to lose. It was sad to see him go; I thought he was definitely in the running to win the season. OTOH, it was his screw up that put his team in the position it was in, so it was karma.
Anyways, enjoyable show, great visuals, love the challenges.

That S.O. Lt has nobody to blame for making the team, but himself.
Obviously someone you'd have to think twice about, who would agree to a certain course of action...let Jermaine decide who he wants to shoot against...and then take the opportunity to throw Jay into what he saw as certain defeat. Why would an honorable person do that...unless he was afraid he might get chosen to compete? I think that, at least in his mind, he is the weakest link...I think he is going to be this season's version of Denny...because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment

I thought it was a cruddy thing for Lt. Daryl to do as well. Jermaine put himself in the challenge and it should have been his right to pick who goes in with him like they agreed to in the team meeting. Nothing against Kyle personally but I think Jermaine had a better chance of staying against him. Sorry Kyle, but so far on the show yo haven't produced."When you get the (men) to the range, you just get the men. But when you bring the (women) to the range, you get the (whole family). And that's what's going to save our 2nd Amendment."--Dianna Liedorff

should (I'm really bad with names) the woman who broke the tie also bear some blame? She could as easily have given Jermaine the opponent he wanted...
I bear no-one any ill will on the show, I know that we are seeing a tiny portion of what goes on, but it annoys me when someone says they should get rid of someone to make the rest of the team happy... maybe the team is wrong.NRA Patron Member

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.
I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.
I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.Comment
