It's pointless to fight the High Point's dominance, you'll only frustrate yourself.

Better to just aim lower and accept second place.

I don't hate Glock. If they gave it a manual safety and at least as good a trigger as the Hi Point it would be an improvement, give it a manual safety and a trigger as good as the 1911 it might live up to Perfection claims.

Just have to have a good holster so nothing can get to trigger, that is what I did for my Kahr and SD9VE, no Mexican carry with them.

I just checked and guess what....it's really hard to find an article for a 1911 high round count. Its all forum talk so its all speculative. Can someone please post a high round count article for a 1911?

Exactly. I guess these really are disposable (trash) like that one expert future trainer said up above somewheres... but be careful when you quote him he will say you are putting words into his mouth... or his words back in his mouth, whatever. He's like Joe Biden who doesn't understand he is being recorded.

it's the fact that they're just horrible junk from a design and manufacturing standpoint. Ergonomics suck, triggers suck, fit and finish suck.

They are, like most things these days, cheap and disposable, with the emphasis on cheap.

GLOCK 17's may go 1,000,000 rounds and maybe need a couple $10 RSA's if they are taken better care of than that tortured one... but Glocks don't mind torture, and Glock doesn't mind haters because they basically sell themselves to smart people.

May have something to do with there being so many 1911 manufacturers and it being produced for such a long period of time. So you have different levels of quality and material durability all the way around.
