I’ve sold to my friends and relatives at ridiculously low prices. Because I know them and trust them. I wasn’t looking to make a profit and most likely lost significant amounts compared to selling in the marketplace here.

That is when I help out fellow gun buyers. People I know.

People I don’t know are potential flippers. I have no obligation to help out a flipper.

The CalGuns Marketplace used to have some killer deals but, not anymore. Just buy from GunBroker and GunsAmerica for the deals and transfer to your FFL.

Let’s say that I own a firearm and it’s worth $100. Because it’s in demand, I decide to sell it for $125. A buyer offers me that amount, so I sell it to him for $125. Who is actually harmed in this transaction? No one in my opinion.

There’s been a lot of whining by some CG members for sometime now regarding marketplace prices. So you see someone wanting to cash in by offering a Glock 17 for $900. You think the price is too high. Answer.....don’t buy it! Simple—don’t buy it! Stop the needless whining.

Gunbroker is a gun sales forum. Calguns is a gun rights forum. The Marketplace is an accommodation to members, not the primary purpose of the forum. New gun owners and people interested in gun ownership and gunlaws come here to get acquainted and learn. When they run into predatory ****s like you they will likely write off all of the above as scam and a sham.

So, **** off and go over to gunbroker. OK?

That is the most ludicrous argument I have heard during a discussion about gun prices. And at this point of the forum's life, also patently false.

I feel I'm going to get banned today for what I have to say.........

Selling off roster firearms for some stupid prices to other members here has gotten out of control. I understand supply and demand but DAMN!

I feel sorry for you that have joined within the past few years. We used to help each other out here and help find items for a better price but that S^*T went right out the window!

You A**hole that are trying to rip members off can go....well you know.

By the way I haven't been trying to buy firearms and mad about the (Rape me prices so don't go there) I just feel many here are getting ripped off.

If you must have that firearm at that price, so be it.

Just because it's "supply and demand" it doesn't make it a free market. In fact, what we have in CA is the definition of what a free market is not.

I would guess that many owners of off roster guns paid well over retail for them. I know that my newer off roster guns were acquired by overpaying in the used market or investing in the SSE process when it was legal. In both cases, I paid well above the retail price.

OP seems to think that everyone is roster exempt and they are buying these guns at free state prices and then selling them for the inflated CA prices. That's just not the case. I believe the majority of sellers overpaid to acquire the off roster gun and now they are trying to get their money back.

Also, if I decided to sell one of my VP9's to buy a P365, even if I paid retail for the VP9, I'd sell it for as much as I could knowing I will have to overpay to buy the P365.
