      We all already know that. But the OP, who is complaining about off roster prices, once in a time, sold an off roster gun at off roster prices.

        The usual whining...don't like the prices then just don't buy...end discussion!
        TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
        The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
        Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
        Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
        The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
        The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
        The best lack all conviction, while the worst
        Are full of passionate intensity.

          I completely agree on that point.

          The constant ranting about marketplace is pointless for several reasons. First, it doesn't change anything. Second, it's not up to us or the forum to change the market conditions that the government regulation has created. Third, this is not price gouging, where someone is essentially forced to chose between predatory pricing and his life. Fourth, it's not even immoral (by most definitions) because it is indeed "supply and demand" and it's a luxury item - there are cheap on-roster alternatives available for self defense (I hate to say it because that's what FFG was using to support the roster, but that's a long and unrelated story). Fifth, even if you offer an off-roster gun at free-state pricing, someone will buy it to resell it - the profit on the item will still be made, just not by you.

          However, it's quite misguided to call it either "capitalism" or "free market." What we have is an abomination, it's created by the government and all the blame for its stupidity lays with the government. We are fighting the law and we are not trying to keep the law on the books because some of us can make a buck via the restrictive market.

          Just accept it for what it is at the moment, remember that we are fighting it in courts and that it will likely go away in the near future, enjoy the guns you have and can obtain, ignore the ones that you don't want to overpay for, and stop ranting .

              Can totally under stand where OP is coming from.

              That said, I would love to purchase an off roster I've been eyeing for some time.

              But the (as Op said) Rape prices are total lunacy, & seems that some here are using this forum, to further there financial love of money (greed)

              Most of us feel this way. (tell me it ain't so ?) & yes, suckers are seemingly born every minute, on CG.

              But praying on the members of this great forum, is certainly a sad deal.

                I prefer "vent" instead of "rant" because these days there are legitimate reasons for gun owners to be frustrated. Every now and then you need to let off a little steam even if you're preaching to the choir.

                  I think gun and ammo prices here in so called "free" states are way too high these days.
