Meh, no reason to be so harsh, the dude had fun and learned some stuff. It's better than spending a weekend on the couch eating Doritos.

I took Fighting Pistol and Advanced Fighting Pistol several months ago. These classes are going to be received differently by different people. The advanced class was definitely ummm... unconventional. I will say that before anyone is downrange, taking pictures or whatnot, they do carefully look to see if the people can actually shoot well - does that matter? - it's up to you.

Maybe if I knew this before taking the class, I wouldn't have taken it. I had a decent time in Fighting Pistol, and a good time in Advanced Fighting Pistol. Was it safe - I dunno, depends on who you ask. I do think that the chance of an accident is extremely low.

Some people take it a little too seriously and think they're a secret CIA Delta Operator after/during the class, but most people that take it (at least based on my experience from the class in the LA area) are really a great group of people. Everyone in my class was normal, educated, genuinely seemed like a good person, and were really good shots. Maybe I got lucky, but that was my personal experience.

I'd rather take a class from Mr. "I love drama" than not take any classes at all. If 2A is more than just a hobby then any training is better than nothing.

You present a false choice. It's not Yeager or nothing.

There are a number of qualified trainers out there to choose from, why choose Yeager?

If you are in a defensive shooting and you get a civil suit after the fact, the other side's lawyer will do discovery and your training and who you got it from will be an issue. How well will Yeager's videos play in court? Especially the one where he was going to start dropping bodies...you know, the one that went national and resulted in Yeager's CCW being pulled?

Speaking generally, there are a number of folks doing tactical teaching that have no business doing so. If they teach students stupid things, it may wind up getting the student killed someday. The student would be better off using the time and money to do simple target practice on static targets. There was an outfit out of LA that had some videos online that were cringe worthy. Really horrible. I wish that I remembered their company name so that I could dig them up. Ah well.

            As always, caveat emptor.

Oh really, you're ready for combat?
              I call bull****.
If you're so ****ing ready get your *** to a recruiting station and enlist Army 11B or Marine 0311.
Until then you're a ****ing poser.

Edit: unless of course you are a combat veteran and got your training the old fashioned way instead of patronizing all these tactical training boutiques that have become so popular among a population that wants to play soldier rather than actually ****ing live it.

Then your combat experience made you ready, not an Internet commando on a range day.

Yeager could be the best trainer in the world and I still wouldn't go to his classes. He's an arrogant, narcissistic A HOLE. Just watch his videos. Dude thinks he's gods gift to man. Saw a video he posted once bragging about how much money he's making through tactical response.

You can take all the tactical classes you want, you can grow the beard and wear the gear, but when the SHTF if you're a coward it always comes out.

Enjoy your classes OP but please don't let them go to your head....don't be that guy.
