Fair enough, but do you finally understand how your logic relies on the assumption that everyone there is a moron? Heck, let's apply your incredibly negative train of thought to something else. A perfectly normal question.

You could respond with "might be a trigger group malfunction" or maybe "could be that he accidentally bumpfired it while milking the trigger" or even "could be a firing pin or even reload issue causing a slam fire". Perfectly normal responses, yes? What's the absolutely negative assumption? "Oh, he must have had an illegal machine gun and let off a 2 round burst". The only way to get to that conclusion is to skip past every likely scenario, and jump straight to the one that requires a criminal act, utter stupidity, or something else just as negative.

I normally dont really GAF, and while I really only barely know Travis (friend of friend sort of thing, meet in passing, yada yada) its not really cool to disrespect a man who has done a lot to earn the respect of those around him. Sure, he had n ND, and yes, he could have handled it better. That doesnt take away from anything he has done in life.

There are a lot of guys who needed to see Travis have a ND. He showed it can happen to the best. Loose your concentration for a second and its all over. Those that have and those that will. Ill be focusing harder not to have a ND.... ever. The fanboys got tought a valuble firearm lesson and the haters can pretend for a minute that they are in his league. It was fate.

lol, no idea. When I searched around for the company name(I wanted more info because it sounded so unbelievably wrong), I recall seeing mention of his insane product with regards to SHOT show 2014, so he's been at it a while at least.

It was probably a small portion of a much longer segment and he didn't think to clear it first(probably spending more effort trying to remember the words he looked in in a thesaurus earlier to repeat to the camera). Again, if you understand the redundancy of the rules of firearm safety, you'd realize that it is indeed possible to have an ND in a manner where people aren't at "risk".

Does it suck? Yes.
Was he probably embarassed? Wouldn't doubt it.
Is it an example of why there are 4 rules for firearm safety and not just 1 or 2? Yes.
Does it mean the lives of anyone were endangered in a way other than hearing? Not necessarily.
Does it mean I think Haley is some kind of world class moron even though I've very clearly said a lot of crap about the guy? No, because my complaints with him are about the speeches that sound like he pulled a thesaurus from the bottom of a paper shredder and dusted the bits over his cue cards like glitter. My complaints don't come from what he may or may not have done in his career because it's not relevant to anything I've discussed.

The director of that filming failed. The patio company admits it and said it was part of their internal training. Marines aren't movie stars. What is also suprising is no one said..dude...your gun is loaded remember? As he finger bangs the trigger.

If you go onto SSD, you can read up more on the back story. tl:dr is he left panteo, the training company this video came from, under bad terms, having to do with someone stating that TH's magpul dynamics videos were no longer valid and people shouldn't buy them anymore. This video clip was for internal use only bit someone in Panteo leaked it to make TH look bad.

Basically, **** happens, and because there was already bad blood between the two, both sides did stuff they normally wouldn't do.

Actually, I recall Travis mentioned in a video not to buy the Magpul series anymore because it's outdated and a lot has changed. I recall he seemed sincere when he said it but I'm guessing Panteo owns some of the rights to the vids and probably got their feathers ruffled because a comment like that surely must affect ongoing sales.

And who knows, maybe Travis threw shade at the vids because of the beef between them. Anything is possible.
