If you go onto SSD, you can read up more on the back story. tl:dr is he left panteo, the training company this video came from, under bad terms, having to do with someone stating that TH's magpul dynamics videos were no longer valid and people shouldn't buy them anymore. This video clip was for internal use only bit someone in Panteo leaked it to make TH look bad.

Basically, **** happens, and because there was already bad blood between the two, both sides did stuff they normally wouldn't do.

Celebrity trainer. Released Magpul Art of the Carbine with Chris Costa which was a fairly important development in training materials at the time (wouldn't quite say revolutionary, but it made a pretty darn big splash). Also see youtube vid for been there done that cred.

Post that time they have become iconic pseudo famous figures among firearms training people or fans of operators, or beards (in Costas case).

Their Handgun DVD follow up was a bit of a dud.

Why wouldn't he be doing this demo with an unloaded weapon? Any time I'm doing any kind of class or demo for my wife or friends that don't shoot (even taught a friend's 9 year old how to shoot) I always do demo's with an empty weapon. You only load it when you're ready to actually go hot...

The word is that he left Panteneo or however you spell it over a couple of minor disputes. At that time they were both OK with each other.

For whatever reason the video company had it on a private video channel for internal use. No one cared.

Recently another instructor decided to release the video to the public. Not sure of what his motivations were for doing so, but I have heard everything from he just thought it would be funny to he has some beef with Haley and wanted to poke fun at him personally.

Who really cares.

well, I only served 20 years in the .mil
served many roles from line coach to small arms marksmanship instructor to RSO/OIC
carried / manned several weapons systems in two theaters and garrison
retired as my NCW unit's armory supervisor with inventory including mk19's to m9's..

not to mention my personal collection including an m82a1 I've owned for over 10 years..

nope, never heard of him..

wish I had enough firearms experience to realize his greatness

Never heard of him but NDs do not give me faith that he is a safe person to be around with guns. You can be as operator as you want but if you are unsafe, I want nothing to do with you.
