Well, when you are older, and things change in the plumbing, you can't always go before arriving and hold out for a few hours. I already avoid drinking before a range visit.

A range buddy makes good sense, just need to find one.

It helps to know the RSOs. I still occasionally volunteer at Livermore. Know most of the guys working and ask them to keep an eye on my bench.

Livermore doesn't allow movement of guns in and out during ceasefire to prevent theft. Unaware of any there. Also have cameras covering the firing line.

Depends. If it's one of my usual haunts were I know the RO's I might ask them to keep an eye on them during a cease fire. If it's a place where I'm not a regular I pack it up.

Though I usually go to the forest to shoot and when I do that I make like a wild animal and just piss where ever my heart desires.

I go to the private outdoor range and almost always get it to myself. I can piss quick faster than anyone can open and close that gate while getting their car through. If I'm I'm the shotty range by myself, the dog is at my side.

I always get a little anxious when there is a cease fire at an outdoor range and everyone heads downrange to replace their targets.

I always think some sick twist is going to pick up a bench rifle and start shooting all the unarmed lifelike targets.

At an indoor range I don't leave the guns. At an outdoor range I pee during range breaks. The ROs always have a fit if anyone gets near the benches during the cease fires.

I rarely go to public ranges anymore but when i used to frequent USI, i usually knew most people around me and had them watch my stuff as i would theirs when we needed a break.

Friend had a custom gun stolen from his bag during a target change on the public line once though. Packed it all up and when he went to grab his target, the guy next to him just pulled the gun from his range bag behind the bench and walked away with it.

Yes they caught him some time later but sometimes you just never know what can happen.

No Way! I don't even trust my guns on the bench behind me when I'm up at the line. Do not walk away from your firearms!

I have an old saying from my motorcycling days that I apply to everything:

Don't leave it if you can't afford to lose it.

Livermore range Dosnt allow any movement of any range equipment during cease fire. And the line to cross for benches is 3 ft wide probably .Makes it a little harder . But I always try to have someone with me .

I would not want one of my guns to fall into the wrong hands. Just not worth it. Visit nature prior to busting out the firearms. Bring a friend. Lock them all up prior to visiting the head. NEVER leave your guns unattended ANYWHERE.
