^^^^ Turners is dead wrong if they assume this or they are having such great times that they do not mind alianating the entire Calgun community.
I stopped going to their stores 3 years ago.
I got a 6 week run around because they were incompetent enough to botch up a transfer from Covina to the Reseda store and lost the gun in transfer never to be found. Followed by a trip to the Reseda store one weekend to stand there with my SO waiting for service while the reneck looking young sales rep was behind the counter complaining about his bad hangover and yapping with another young sales rep looking and sounding in worse shape than him. Plus a few other mishaps too long to type.
I now go to the small shops or even drive from WLA to OC but will not spend my several thousnds a year at Turners. I go where they appreciate my business.
Enough is enough, I have seen and heard just too much incompetence and bad service from Turners.Comment

Let's say we didn't have lame CA laws and he walked out of the store with the 2 guns that day. A week later, Turners calls and asks for a gun or $300 back. You'd comply? Accept the "mistake"?Really? why do so many people expect everything for free? She made a MISTAKE. Get over it. The fact that the OP said "I asked her several times if that was the final price" goes to show he knew that did not sound right.
Get your full refund and DROS and be done with it.
Everyone jumps on saying he should get a FREE gun because of a MISTAKE. You have never made a mistake??Comment

Since my post was deleted In the other thread I say it here again.
I went to west covina turners store to buy over $100 of reloading supplies. I grabbed a rcbs bullet puller hammer, which had a price tag on the shelf of $22. Went to the register and the puller rung up almost $35. I told them price on shelf and lady checked and came back With manager saying that price was for a different model. So some how in the world of turners. A price tag and a package with same name and same code, aren't the same at all?
I left it all there on the counter. They lost that sale and future saleComment

They can't let the truth be known. OP you should contact an admin and ask to get that thread unlocked so you can reply there."You see in this world theres two kinds of people my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig... You Dig" Blondie from TGBUComment

Can't believe they locked that other thread! They know they're wrong and there's no way to defend their actions. To say that the customer balked at paying the difference is ludicrous. Turners is the one balking by not turning over the merchandise that was bought and paid for. I'm pretty sure the OP didn't walk in there that day, tell that what he was willing to pay, and trick them in to giving it to him. The salesperson spelled out the deal, a manager had to sign off on the paperwork, and somebody at the register rang it up and collected payment.
I don't think it's possible that the OP negotiated a deal on the Bushmaster, then went up to the register and said, "Oh yeah, I think I'm supposed to get a free ISSC with the purchase of this rifle". And then the clerk says "You're right! Let me grab one of those for you!"Comment

im just trying to figure out how any manager in his right senses would allow an "additional help" employee to ring up a firearm sale for $.01 in the first place without said managers pre-approval
this was an internal mistake, the OP wasn't even in the store to take advantage of whatever $999.99 sale Turners was offering, he was led into the purchase by the "offer" of the salesperson, the representative of Turners
salespeople give customers "offers" all the time, offers that aren't posted on a wall, or printed in an ad
even more so, i think it was VERY underhanded of Turners to try and amend the receipt/sales contract to make it look like there was going to be additional money due on this sale at the time of pickup...to me, that's worse than screwing up the sale, it demonstrates a dishonesty that even most snake oil salesmen wouldn't try
they should be ashamed of themselves for trying to pull that offsigpicComment

Not defending Turners on the OP situation...Since my post was deleted In the other thread I say it here again.

But on yours, if I walk into a turners and stuck a price tag from safe #1 of $100 on safe #2 that costs $2000, should Turners be liable to sell you the $2000 safe for $100?Comment

Yup, that duplicate receipt is quite shady indeedim just trying to figure out how any manager in his right senses would allow an "additional help" employee to ring up a firearm sale for $.01 in the first place without said managers pre-approval

Except in the post you quoted the poster specifically said the shelf tag showed the same description and item number as the item he was buying, so your example doesn't apply.Comment
