So are you happy with the gun? It sure looks nice, and I really like the vent rib!

I think you'll find that it shoots well too. Do pattern it at 15,20 and 25 yards with Low Recoil 00 Buck so you can see the pattern. And if you get to shoot at steel targets take a shot at a freshly painted head on the target. With #8 birdshot it should completely erase the paint on the entire head with one shot at 15 yards!

I talked to Cody at Vang Comp today. He said,,,

Ralston's gun is waiting on a Rear Sight/Pic Rail just like many others and the Machine Shop making them is supposed to deliver around 2 weeks from today. That is a Rear Sight with Pic Rail to be attached to teh receiver which is already D&T'd only needs the sight assembly to finish and then ship.

SFV shooter's barrel with the Front Sight addition has already been shipped.

He has 400 shotguns in house right now. 200 are getting the Tactical Treatment for DHS and they are concentrating on them because of the big Payday. As would any shop! including me..

He told me that regular barrel mods are 10-15 days turnaround. All other more involved mods are put in line with everybody else, and can take up to 120 days.

He said that in the future he will be more diligent about quoting lead times more accurately.

The large gun shipment from Remington was way over due, and it threw the whole place in to a spin.

They had waited thru the whole Remington restructuring process for delivery of those guns and so were way over due on delivering the orders for those 400 guns, 200 of which were going to DHS .

Post 101, having two or more shotguns is a very good idea, especially for planned/elective work to be done to one of them.

I do also agree the subject Vang company got caught up in an inability to meet customers' expectations, although good-for-them for landing some type of government contract(s) during that time.

Perhaps all is back to normal for them. We shall read more about them if not.

Most of those complaining have never sent anything to them to work on and are just "Piling On" to put out negative BS to make themselves feel better. except it never does.

My point here is that if you don't have anything constructive to say, Why not just STFU???!!!

I was successful at getting some movement for the OP, and a couple of others. I won't do anything for the haters, no matter how much they bitch!

I can help with some things and not so much for other things. Kind of depends on the tone of the request.
