The faster it goes, the flatter the trajectory, and the rounds that are both high speed and high weight have less wind influence. But for the most part target accuracy is driven by load consistency, and a lot of target shooters like subsonic for being quieter, and not introducing the sonic influence which can be temperature sensitive. That all said, unless you are competition shooting, I look for clean and reliable. Crappy bulk packs in most .22 rifles is more than enough to do things like appleseed. But yeah, for hunting, I would always reach for the heavy / hot load unless there was a noise issue in which case I would reach for one of the heavy subsonics like aguila sss.Up for rent...Comment

I had a 500 brick of the recent Remington's ship from Cabelas on the 6th, so yeah they are shipping.
Not to drag on a sore subject, but I find it quite ironic that Cabelas would turn over info on someone to the HLS for buying a couple bricks of .22, but the Flippers/Hoarders that stand in line at Walmart/Turners/Big5 everyday at 7am don't receive a visit from a suit & a badge. Hell, it's likely these flippers are on a first name basis with their local store. For most of us, ordering online is the only way to secure .22 ammo without getting gouged. I can never find it otherwise.
BTW, CCI Blazers are still up at Cabelas as of 4:26pm.Comment

Pretty sure the reference to Cabela's reporting their sales to HLS was tongue-in-cheek. But then one never knows these days.Comment

Yup, and they are highly recommended. You won't find a better first course in precision marksmanship, and it is dirt cheap. There is a subforum here, a dedicated forum for the organization, and several people here that are familiar. If it looks confusing or you need a guide to get you going, PM just about anybody involved and they will point you in the right direction. Even if you don't have the right gear, somebody will get you squared away.Up for rent...Comment

Yeah, if that were serious, that would be news being blasted across every gun blog and right wing news site. Short of drop shipping to the white house with a special message in the gift options, I don't think there is anything you could order off Cabela's that would get you reported to HLS.Up for rent...Comment

Gotcha! Crisis averted, blood pressure returning to normal.... haha. Thanks for the clarification, fella's!
CCI Blazer's still up on Cabela's as of 4:45pm, perfect timing for those that work all day and get to come home to ammo in stock...Comment

Stinger does not fit all chambers especially match type, its longer. Ruger says don't use it in 10/22, actual speed is lower than advertised.Anyone can make hot round ever moran knows that.At that speed they need longer barrels to be stabilized so short barrel pistol is not the best option. In longer barrel I measured it to be 5% drop in speed and pistol 3.5 inch barrel was 1033 fps.Comment

Curious to see if anyone bought anything from here that looks like a good price and was in stock a few hours ago. but the question is how much they charge for shipping?Comment
