Hi All,

Dunno if this is accurate, but it is what a Cabelas CS rep told me... Supposidly the Goldens are not in stock, and haven't been nor are going to be for the foreseable future. CS rep asked how I got to checkout with the Goldens and I said, "I dunno, found this link on a random (un-named blog)" and the CS rep said that the link is somehow going around their inventory system and any order is going to backorder and that she (CS rep) has seen backorders for years, literally years... And don't use any link anymore if you find one, and to only use the Cabelas website as inventory check! Hahha.

Awesome idea. Let's all call Cabelas and let them know we have a back door to their system, so they can shut it down..... I don't know why some people can't just be satisfied when they have a good thing going, and have to go stir up trouble. I mean we are using a back door, some of us are placing multiple orders, and when we don't get every single order delivered, we call the company and start to question them. Way to go.

The fact that a Cabela's rep is talking about "years of backorders" on Golden Bullets shows how out of touch they are with their own system. GB's have been available at least once a month. I have no idea if the backdoor links are really approved or sanctioned by Cabela's, but I agree it's best not to call attention to the fact that this is how most of their ammo is being ordered.

I ordered one gb box a day (4 total) from cabelas 2 shipped so far....I sure hope the other 2 don't get cancelled!

What do you guys mean by double/duplicate orders? When you order twice within the same day? I ordered at 6pm then 9am the next day, I hope the limit isn't based on 24 hours.

My guess is that Cabelas, Ganders etc purposely choose not to put the 22 ammo up on their general menu as they know it only invites multitudes of phone calls and mis-orders because it moves so fast---They have a way in their own system to circumvent that process---In the warehouse, direct post and out the warehouse---We are ammo minded, but Cabelas is huge in other dept's, so customer service goes by the website general inventory.---Their system would probably crash if they put every 22 item up in their general menau.

Hi Shaky, when you are checking out there is an option to email your cart to a friend. When a friend clicks it the item is loaded in the cart for purchase.

You can email a link to yourself for any item on the site so it is "Cabela's Approved" and even encouraged as it makes sales for them.

But, the CS Reps only see the main site and what it says is in stock. If you call, they'll go by the site and cancel your order.

This was explained about a few pages back, but the rule is listed above every 22 ammo item:

To ensure all of our customers have fair access to inventories, this product has a quantity limit of 1 per order, per customer, per day.

They say don't cheat, like 11:45 PM and 12:15 AM...and it is per item...you can order a 100 box, a 50 box and a 525 box...just not two of the same product, meanig don't order two Rem GB 525's in one day. I did order a Federal 525 and a Rem 525 on the same day, but they are different items.

Makes sense. I guess you could call that an official endorsement of the process.

I see after much speculation about Walmart taking almost all the .22 off their site to supposedly deliberately keep their inventory a secret, it's all back now. Of course the stock-by-store is still blocked, but hopefully everyone knows how to get around that.
