I didn't corner the market but I'll get by.... All thanks to this thread and Walmart ticking me off cause I couldn't get ammo to take my kids shooting!

That shelf is pretty much full to the wall... Last time I counted it was close to 50K And I have a "bit" more on Back Order. Thanks again to everybody! Fun while it lasted.

Boy, everyones talking like Cabela's just ended online ammo sales entirely. It's just a shortcut that was lost. The persistent and the creative will continue getting their .22 fix
Right now I've got nothing from any of my links but Friday afternoon isn't known for big ammo drops.

I was late to the party, but thank you guys.
I scored 5 bricks of Blazer and 1 brick of Thunderbolt.

And I have 4 boxes left of 525 Federal from Riflegear, when they were $29.99.

This should keep me and my kid shooting for awhile. Ruger Bearcat and a sweet BL-22 I just picked up.

Thanks guys, it's been fun...and what you don't see is all that got passed on to friends and coworkers - at cost. I was pretty torqued that I couldn't just BUY some... I couldn't find .45 HP's for my new Duty Kimber! I vowed that I wouldn't be without again. Heck my kids will likely get some of it some day!

I had part of it all on a shelf in the safe... It collapsed So it moved out onto that...rated for 600 pounds.

Kind of on topic:

The other day I was looking at my various shelved ammo wondering if I had "too much" weight on the shelves. I've placed the biggest culprits (7.62x54r crates, 7x5.55 Swiss, 7.62x39) on the bottom two shelves and lighter ammo (pistola and 22lr) on the middle shelves. Anyway, the middles of the shelves bow slightly (like maybe 1/4 inch) and I thought no big deal.

Well finally I got around to checking the maximum weight loads per shelf. Looks like they're set at 175 lbs each shelf … just barely enough for the Russian crates, and not bad for space-age polymer (aka plastic). If anyone is looking for some on the cheap, here's what I use. Might not be as strong as steel, but hey they're $30.

EDIT: I just realized the whole point of my story was that I was loading ammo onto these shelves without even thinking about the weight rating. Call me lucky! lol
