My stack of buckets is all from Gander... I could never land a Cabela's bucket. In related news... I went shooting last weekend and didn't worry about ammo at all. Shot 100 rounds of .40 and about 400 Golden Bullets. I shot until the partially used 525 pack was gone.

Not gander, the Cabela's Winchester... I can't believe cabela's doesn't get the same or more ammo shipped to them than gander mtn. They just want to capitalize on the shipping in the name of being "fair" to customers.

The amount of ammo we see pop online doesn't necessarily reflect the actual volume they receive. Even if the inventory doesn't last as long, I'd bet it is in part because of their larger customer base. After all, they are the "world's foremost outfitter." Plus, they have to stock stores too.

I for one appreciate the limits (example - most of us missed today's surge, but others might get 4 buckets). Yes, a limit one 100 pack sucks more than a limit one bucket. There have been a few times I placed an order and added a small limit one item. Alone they aren't worth the shipping but they stick around longer, and are easier to snag.

I'll agree with you on the shipping front. Lots of companies get bulk UPS or FedEx discounts but pass on the list rate to the customer. It covers the added cost of materials and time picking/packing. Shipping is a profit center for most companies and can be expected.

Ok my 2 Bucket O Bullets are home and as usual Gandermountains box look beat up. Buckets inside look intact, except the sides looked squished in like they got the air sucked out of them before they shut the lid. Never had these before but are they supposed to look that way?

Might be the pressure differential of going over the Rockies....Potato chips will do that as will other stuff that is airtight. I work in the glass industry and they have vent tubes in insulated units that are left open for that reason. we crimp them shut before installing them.

Wal-Mart in Salinas has a bunch of CCI standard velocity in stock. $3.47 a box. The guy last night didn't care about the 3 box limit, said we could buy 10. No such luck tonight.
There's still at least 20 boxes left.

I received my box from gander today also, it was a bit beat up but not too bad. On opening, I found two empty buckets amongst a sea of bullets! I weighed 100 and weighed the rest. Looks like its nearly all there but I think I lost a few. Some look a little chewed up also. I think I will call gander and tell them they should tape the buckets closed.

Anyone else's showing up like this?

Mine came today with the lids and handles taped or shrink wrapped. Weird that there would be differences in packing techniques.
