Here's a picture I took yesterday of one of my sons with my 795. It is painted with a coat of Krylon Camo Khaki.

Already have a Marlin 795 (bought one last year) and just curious...is the rebate program still running? My sister is looking to get one.

for the first time, i shot that Winchester 333 bulk crap through my 795 and it did not like it. I experienced my first failures with the rifle, one round failed to eject and was stuck inside the chamber and had to be pried out with a knife. then had 2 fail to feeds and caused the rounds to be destroyed. lesson learned, im sticking with Federal bulk which has never failed me.

My Marlin 60 will not shoot the Win 333 either. I believe it is the shape of the bullet as they shoot well in my other 22 bolt actions. Fed bulk is a good choice and anything Remington is not, too dirty and 2 many FTE, FTF and duds.

What are you guys running on the 795 for optics other than a traditional scope? Anyone using reflex type sights?

What about the smaller red dots, are they a little easier for aquiring targets fast than a regular scope?

I suck at target aquisition using a regular scope and since this is the one caliber that I can afford to spray rounds at will, I want something accurate but also quick to locate a target.

Dying to take it to the range.
I hope it's good at over half the cost of the rifle.

Mine has no problem with the Winchester HP 333 ammo. My 795 is well broken in so I don't know if it makes a difference.

Jack rabbits in my area do not like the Win333.

795 vs 795ss, should I spend more dollars for the ss version?
                              That's the pros and cons?

Really, that's what it is. Instead of blued, it's... stainless steel.
