Sajedene, Didn't mean to bum you out - when you pick up your new rifle, we'll go shooting again. It'll be fun

I usually just run dry patches thru my .22lr guns. If groups open up, then I use some bore foam and patch it out.

Thanks, but if i polish it myself would i run into problems?

So excited! I have a bunch of ammo, a case will be arriving (funny, my friend on fb also recommended a supressor - but the website he gave me I don't know which one would work www.gem-tech.com)
A fake suppressor on a GSG-5 is as natural as apple pie. On a .22lr AR-15 upper, it's bad@$$. On a Marlin 795, it just doesn't look right, IMHO. It's got more of a traditional hunting rifle look. That laminated stock, however, is slicker than snot!

I don't see why you would run into problems but I can't speak from experience.

As for the laminated stocked, suppressed Marlin 795 HotRod9mm posted,

Well, there's a few obstacles, first one being you have to pass a hunter safety class so you can get the annual license. I'll fill you in next time I see you. But your Marlin will humanely dispatch a squirrel although I now use my Savage in .223 rem.

So, I'm going to ship my rifle for warranty work but I have never shipped a gun before. I'm just wondering, do I need a copy of the gunsmith ffl and what kind of box do I have to ship it in? TIA

Stick it in the box which was shipped with it. Also, you will want to use a LOT OF BUBBLE WRAP! I used 2 boxes, one for the inner carton and another for the outer carton.

I took the boxed up rifle to my dealer and asked them to print a UPS label and have the UPS guy pick it up. Otherwise, you have to take it to the depot. You can not take it to a local UPS shipping center.

Thanks, I'll see if my local ffl will ship it.
