Gander Mountain just shipped my two orders that I placed yesterday. Two Federal Champion 525 bulk boxes for $25 each (4.76 cents/round), and I threw in a few sleeves of Mini-Mags to get the free shipping. I wasn't really looking to buy more 22LR, but I haven't seen the Federal bulk packs for so long that I bought them just out of principle.Comment

I'm down in the Monterey/Salinas area this weekend to watch the Indy Light races at Laguna Seca. I just stopped into the Dick's in Salinas and they had about 8 cases (that I could see, not sure if there was more behind them in the cabinet) or more of Federal AutoMatch, plus a few loose bulk boxes. They also had a few (plastic) boxes of non-bulk Golden Bullets, and a few boxes of Eley (couldn't see what kind, but I recognize the boxes).
I don't shoot AutoMatch, so I didn't bother to find out the price or what kind of limits they impose. Still was the most cases I've seen at a brick and mortar place lately.Comment

Academy had the 525 Federal bulk packs for $23 this morning (limit 1), but sold out pretty quickly. You still have to be fast with your order finger, plus be quick to add another small box/item to get the free shipping, but it looks like sub 5 cent plinking ammo is getting less rare.
