.22 lr ammo availability improving?

I was looking for some 22 magnum and ran across this CCI for $8.99.

5 max. Only I max of the Winchester.....$8.49

.22 lr seems to be plentiful again. I've picked up over 2000 rounds of a mix of Remington Thunderbolt and CCI Mini Mags in the last month. One of my LGS's had plenty of Thunderbolt 550 round bricks, Winchester SuperX 100 round paks, Federal 325 round paks, and American Eagle 500 round bricks. Picked up two of the 550 round Thunderbolt bricks today for $35 each.

I try to pick up at least 1000 rounds each paycheck...

I think it is "around", but I can still never find it in any of the Walmarts I frequent, and the only time I have seen it at Turner's was when they had several cases priced at $79.99/500. Even that stuff is gone now.

I did find some Automatch junk at a LGS for $24.99/325, and some Mini-Mag 100 packs for $11.99.

So it's out there, but not like it once was, and certainly not at the prices it used to be.

Walmart has issues . Nobody that has a job can get any of the good stuff(22lr,223,17hmr) . Either the retired guys or the unemployed get all of it or the employees horde it all for themselves or buddys. Walmart needs to fix this and release the stuff twice a day like 7am and 7pm so its fair for all of us .

My LGS has plenty and its a fair price but I'm cheap and love the best deals.

I don't see a "22lr in stock" thread, so I'll put this here. Turners on Clairemont Mesa Blvd had Remington 525 boxes for $40, about 20 more on the shelf when I left there tonight. Not a great price, not the worse I've seen, $0.076 per round.

Both the shootist in Murrieta and faith armory in Temecula posted on Facebook that they had .22 today. Their prices are reasonable. $40= 500 brick

The Rifle gear price for the Federal Auto Match is $5 cheaper than what Turners has today. Riflegear is 24.99 for 325 box and Turners is $29.99.Turners in Chino Hills had a lot today. The Federal Auto Match seems to be all over. I bought some from Gander Mountain 3 weeks ago. Two weeks ago the Fountain Valley Turners had a lot of it. Last week Ironsights in Oceanside had a lot of it. Today it was the Turners in Chino Hills. If you are asking how I know this I have been on the road the last 3 weeks and have been to all these places in person and saw the ammo stock.

No. It was at a small independent shop. Prices there are typically really high (5.99-7.99 for a box of 50, depending on brand), So I usually don't buy.
