Managed to snag some bulk ammo at about 7.5c per round at Turners. They had Federal, Golden bullet and Thunderbolt bulk packs. The Federal was more expensive. Oh and I also saw Fiocchi .22 ammo cans at about 9 c per round.

Stopped past Walmart on the way home and they happened to have some CCI quiets at $3.25 per box so picked up a few of those too.

Has anyone been to any LGS in OC/LA/SBD with CCI Mini Mags in stock recently?

This should be a workable alternative.

Turner's in Reseda had about 20-30 boxes of automatch for $30 last week. I went on a Saturday afternoon just to look around. The store was packed and I didn't see anyone buy a box when I was there.

RG has these, which is the same thing... just different packaging...

Thanks for the info guys! I'll check these out. I'm getting a Walther P22 and I've read their picky with ammo and Mini Mags seem to be the best ammo for them.

I have a Sig Mosquito which is also picky. I've been lucky to get some of this when it's in stock.

The Winchester X they have at riflegear should work as a fine alternative. The CCI at riflegear is only in stock in TX.

Mini-mags do seem to work. Give Golden Bullets a try too. Mine runs well on Mini-Mags and Golden Bullets.

Plenty of 22LR here, pricing is decent if you get a lot to offset shipping costs.

                    2 x 500 = Ship $14.94

                    5 x 500 = Ship $20.37

I'm pretty new to the 22lr game (picked up a Ruger 10/22), but seeing that CCI mini-mags are the rounds to get, does it matter if they are 36r or 40gr.

                      Thanks

For shooting paper, you probably won't notice the difference.
Round noses might feed a little bit better in picky guns.

For hunting small critters the hollow points would probably do better.

I find that RN won't kill a squirrel, they go straight through them and they probably run off and die somewhere else. I prefer a quick kill which HP's deliver every time.

Found mini mags at wal mart Laguna niguel. 7.9 cents a round. 100 packs. Bought three and left 6. They were gone in five minutes.
