.22 lr ammo availability improving?

I've had some boxes that have looked like that. Same with the cardboard boxes (thanks Midway). Would you put in a call to their customer service in any case like that? Don't know if it means that there's a chance of loose bullets from things like that.

Depending on the warehouse, the packing job can be good or bad. Usually they put some extra tape on the boxes and then wrap it with bubble wrap. Lately the packaging has been alright (most of the boxes look like they were smashed).

Cabela's Mini-Mags arrived... typical Cabela's packing job, all sticky taped... nine out of nine cracked.

Give Cabelas a call and see what they say.

The one time I ordered CCI Mini Mags from Gander Mountain ammo came packed like that photo, just banded together inside the box. Luckily only 1 of the boxes were damaged. Called their CS and they could not care less.

Another time I ordered Winchester 22 with the wooden box and it arrived damaged. Called Cabelas CS and explained the issue and they offered a gift card for the trouble.

Nah, no big deal. If the rounds were loose or missing I'd be more irritated.

I just like the way Gander figured out how to ship without breaking everything. Cabela's is usually just fine with paper boxes. They just break plastic CCI boxes. Maybe CCI should use a plastic that doesn't shatter and fall apart so easy. I'm not a box collector so I'll just shoot them and not complain. When they are more broken than these, the boxes can fall part and the lids pop off. I have some like that stored in 50 cal cans.

How did you get Nine(9) boxes...? They cut me off at Five(5) of any Mini-Mag.

I mentioned it in another post, but their cart system was weird. They may have fixed it. If you put in five and five it would take them out but four and five worked in that combination only. Maybe the counting logic/value for the mini-mag round nosed was off, I don't know... I played with it until I got the max. If I added one more box of RN's they were removed completely, but four was allowed with the five HP's

Received my Cabela's shipment of 5x100 rd. stick CCI Mini-Mag 40 gr. SH PRN solids (0030).

And I have to say, I am Shocked!


Shipping box was undamaged/ Sticks were in the 5-stick display box/ Bubble-rapped/ brown paper packed.

They look... Pristine.

I have not bought any .22lr in over a year. Not shooting very much this year but will start again next year. I am well stocked so not to worried about finding any. If it breaks with a lot of stock in stores I may add more if the price is low.
