Golden Bullets are excellent bulk ammo. Occasional fliers, buy for the most part accurate and function very well.

Thunderfarts are an entirely different story.

Dicks in Santa Rosa was $456 for 7800 rounds or 5.8 cents a round.
I had to take 3 people with me and wait about 45 minutes in the checkout line but nobody online had a better deal.
We drove to the Petaluma store but the AutoMatch were all sold out so we picked up 40 boxes of Golden bullets in the 100 packs for $320 out the door. They were buy one for $9.99 and get one half off.
11800 rounds ran $786 or 6.6 cents a round not counting gas or beer for my helpers.

My 1911 conversion and my Ruger MK IIs love them. Dirty but accurate and reliable. Luckily I was able to trade about 10 bricks of M22, which my guns hate, for the same number of 525 value packs last year to add to my golden bullet stash. that said, I peeked into the Bucket O Bullets and those rounds look like rejects or something. I have 20 year old packs that are in way better shape.

I did have this freak occurance though:

I have tired of cheap .22

I have tired of seeing all the flyers with cheap bulk .22 that isn't really that cheap anymore. Also, I have had problems with some really old .22. I feel like it doesn't store as well as centerfire.

It depends on how it's stored.

Its almost back to normal as far as all ammo goes. Prices on 22 ammo will never drop to what it was years ago but then what has ? Before Sandy Hook I was paying 25.00 for a brick.

Of course that will come crashing down in a few years when the new ammo buying laws kick in.
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I hope to have a lifetime of 22 ammo before the end of the year.

And Gander Mountain will let you get 5 sliders of mini mags along with 5 boxes of the Christmas ammo at the same time.

The Christmas ammo was unlimited on Thanksgiving morning per my post above. Mine shipped yesterday! Best deal I've seen on CCI SV anywhere in a few years, when you consider shipping or tax and retailers that will ship to my county.

I'm hoping the smaller plastic sleeves survive shipping better than the larger ones.

I hear ya. Right now I have enough for my life time but then I'm old

I'm trying to get enough for my 14 year old son and 1 year old grandson to.

We don't shoot that much 22, ring steel at 50-100 yards, both me and my son get bored with it pretty fast. I guess and say we haven't shot more then 500 rounds this year.

Why so little? Do you hand load? I use the Ultimate Cliploader and it loads up 10 rounds in like 2-3 seconds.

Thanks, a good deal these days, especially with free shipping.

I also just ordered 5x the Winchester 300 wood boxes and 5x the Win 100 rd sliders at cabelas.com

About .10/rd, but I dumped some Cabelas points on them along with free shipping. Got it down to about .08/rd, plus I'll give the little boxes to the wife for her craft projects, scoring some honey-do points.
