Want to Buy: Ruger PC9 Magazine Buttstock Pouch -
I stopped buying CCI at decent prices this year when I got to 8,000 rounds...TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
William Butler Yeats 1865-1939Comment

There seems to b a lot of .22LR in the Private Ammo Sales section here, from about 7.5 to 9 cents a round or so. ( So much that prices will probably start to come down a bit perhaps. ) Some people there still have it priced at scalper's prices, but it isn't selling so fast.Comment

I have had (relatively) good luck with .22 ammo. Been paying in the 7.5-8 cent a round range. I started shooting during the ammo shortage, so to me, this is the cheapest I have seen it. Paid 7.5 cents via private sale here in the private ammo sales forum and took advantage of a Gander Mountain free shipping about a week ago and bought Federal Match for under 8 cents.
Have also starting hearing of the Remington buckets starting to pop up here and there. Availability is improving and so is price.Comment

Just bought two of these right now. .082 cents a round with shipping to Woodland Hills. The way I see it, I can pay .082 to a reputable business or .082 to a Calguns reseller...Comment

I can get .22 any day of the week as long as I'm willing to pay .10 a round plus tax. My local store (REDACTED SO I STILL HAVE AN AMMO SUPPLY) always has it on the shelf when I go in.
I can get better prices elsewhere but availability gets spotty.

I'm not finding it better than 8-9 cents/rd online. Local walmart never has anything and the local gun shops gouge. Im not stocked to the brim like some, so I may have to shut up and put up to get some more.Comment

Yup, Natchez @ .0824 per round delivered vs. Cabela's for .0859 delivered right now unless there's some Cabela's codes floating around. You could probably do multiple orders from either place. They don't seem to care much unless you are getting it shipped free. I would pay that for CCI but not Federal.Comment

I hate these lame 300 round mini "bulk packs"... Fed 325, CCI 300, and even crappy Winchester now has 235 round packs. Wow.
The only ones I loved were the 375 round packs of Mini-Mags and AR-Tacticals from CCI because a dozen fit in to a can with zero wasted space. A bulk pack should be a brick with a little bonus. Bring back the 550 packs.Comment

I don't really stock up too much either. I like to have 1000 rounds of .22 on hand at all times. If I use some I replace immediately. I do that so I can shoot my .22 without having to find rounds before I can go shoot. I don't want to sit on thousands upon thousands of rounds.

I've got a brick of Rem Thunderbolt and Fed Hi-Power from 20+ years ago that has kind of gone off, it's gummy and won't feed in anything. I don't know what to do with it, suppose I'll just hold it for emergency ammo. For those of us who don't shoot a lot of 22, what's the point of having thousands of rounds if the ammo won't hold up for long term storage ? Am I not storing it correctly?
Any suggestions for cleaning up the old stuff?Comment
