I have several thousand rounds, but I still buy when I see it for a decent price when I include shipping. I don't plan on selling it but I have several grandsons, so I consider it planning rather than hoarding. Usually, I just buy a couple of bricks or bulk packs at a time now that the price is coming down.

I just happened to find myself at the dicks this morning, where they had 6-8 cases of Winchester 333 and 555's. even better was the 6 cases of bucket of bullets. Ii walked out with 2 buckets and 2 555's. i'll be set for a little while now.

Where is the local - normal priced ammo?

I haven't seen anything local for years that was not 5x the price.

Went to Texas - Academy sold 300 Federal for cheap.

The Walmart thing confuses me... Even with scalpers, they are not getting shipments in or everyone is lying (in the store).

          ....

Ammunition Depot is America's trusted online source for purchasing bulk ammo, firearms, magazines, and shooting accessories from the top manufacturers you trust.

High limit on Aguilla here right now (let me put 20 in the cart), looks like 1000 rounds would be .105 per round factoring in $20 shipping. Some people love that Aguilla. I have a few cases of it from when that was the only thing around I haven't tried yet. It was more like $30 a brick back then though and $50 a brick for the SS 60 grain rounds.

Grab your CCI 22LR 40 gr Copper Plated Round Nose AR Tactical 300 Round Brick for sale at Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore.

Sportsmans has a few things (like AR Tacticals 300 round box, and Mini mags). LIMIT ONE, but I guess you could score over a brick of various stuff. Have no idea if the shipping is sane.

I was at the Cabelas in Phoenix earlier in the week. They had Federal Automatch mini bricks, American Eagle 400 rd bricks, CCI MiniMags and Standard velocity sitting on the shelves.

                Limit 500 rds per customer.

most of the ammo was about $0.06-$0.07rd

Here in the Salt Lake City area I can often find it at Cabelas, Scheels and Sportsman's Warehouse. The prices appear to be permanently higher across the board also.
I haven't seen any at any Walmart here on along time. Maybe they can't offer it cheaper any more? Walmart's other calibers are on par now with the other big box stores.

Most of Walmart's rifle calibers have always been priced pretty high unless it was Russian fodder. Many popular hand gun calibers like 9mm, .40, .45 ACP, etc... usually have many inexpensive options at Walmart. It is hard to find $14 boxes of .45 ACP anywhere else, and nowadays $10 boxes of 9mm are not everywhere either.

I have never bought .223 at Walmart. I think I bought .308 there once but is was TULA or WOLF @ $10.

A very good sign that the supply of 22 is coming back. Cabela's just raised the limit on CCI rimfire ammo from one to 5 per customer. Seems to only apply to the 100ct or less, as the 300ct swamp people is still 1 per.

Could also be Cabelas receiving their backorders or CCI is cranking out the ammo. Either way, it's a good sign.

Still havent seen 22lr in stores, when it is available on midwayusa the prices are palatable, but the 16 dollar shipping and max 1k rounds per order is getting old.

The LGS have been receiving shipments lately but its usually a case or two and it sells out fast.

The increase in the limit supply only applies to CCI orders currently so I'd think CCI has been able to increase production.

                              It is a good sign.

Yeah, it is odd the way their cart works... I had five boxes of HP and 4 boxes of solids... if you add one more box of solids it removes the HP's completely... BUT you can order 5 and 4... 900 rounds isn't bad. Stingers and Standards do similar weird things if you have a few different flavors and change quantities. There isn't really a absolute set round count or box limit in the logic that I could see...

I wouldn't have paid the shipping, but I had $19 in Cabela's Bux to burn. I need to replace Mini-Mags I shoot or I might run out someday
