I got an error message when trying to check out from Bullets:

CCI SV $35 per brick, 10 brick limit, Palmetto. Bought 3 and shipping was $15, so $40 per brick delivered.

Seems to be loosening up a little. I've been able to find .22 from time to time, still with limits to amount that can be bought though.

Was at the Chico gun show yesterday, vendors are still gouging. I bought some CCI mini mags for just over $8/100 and there were Remington buckets for $99 at Sportsman's Warehouse last week. At the gun show they were asking $18 for the CCI, $159 for the Rem buckets.

        I just laughed.

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Yesterday, Walmart in Visalia had Winchester 555 rnds 36 gr HP 1280 FPS for $30.18 tax included. <.055 per round, best price I've found in several years.
It was their last box in the ammo cabinet.

The price from the manufacturers hasn't changed.
The gougers at the smaller shops are simply taking advantage of the supply. My one local shop is asking $85 for 500 rounds of plinking ammo. I have never been back and will never recommend them to anyone.

                          Golden Bullet Bucket O's ?

That's almost 16 cents a round - robbery. Even at a fair price which would be $90-$100 delivered, the 525 packs are a better buy. Just get three 525's and you have 1575 rounds. Buckets are a measly 1400. Golden Bullets are the budget mini-mag in my guns. If they cost more than .06 I'll just get the real thing.

I have about 30 pounds of loose .22lr. What's a fair price per pound? There's no way I'm hand counting!

As a general rule, I"d say roughly the same price as steak depending on what you have. Regular plinking should cost a little more than top round. Target grade is somewhere between choice ribeye to choice filet mignon, depending on the brand. Match grade is somewhere between prime filet and Kobi beef.

Even thunderbolts cost more than top round now, even though they're only worth as much as hamburger, with the pink slime additive.

Probably about 4000 rounds depending on bullet weights... not even a case.
found the weights below on interwebs.

                                Maybe worth $200-$250
